Word is that Sonny Corinthos' daughter with Alexis Davis, Kristina, and his adoptive son Michael are victims of the Soap Opera Rapidly Aging Syndrome.
From the beginning of Michael's coma, fans were led to believe he would be SORAS'd. However, when Dylan Cash, who played Michael for six years, was seen as the comatose Michael on a recent episode, people started to wonder if maybe Michael wasn't going to remain - well, Michael.
General Hospital is casting a 16-year-old female; perhaps this is Kristina. With both Cassadine and Corinthos blood coursing her veins, watch out!

I hate it when they do this to the kiddos…when Michael finally wakes up, it won’t have near the emotional impact for me when it’s a completely different kid.

I see no evidence to back this up. The fact that more characters are being cast does not prove they are old characters being aged rather than entirely new characters being introduced. Given the wild propensities of the GH men, it seems to me there should be at least half a dozen other half cousins and siblings out there.
Summer is approaching. Most soaps do run teen stories at that time.
i just hope the teen storylines are interesting and not completely mob infested just b/c they are all related to Sonny.
I think this is great! It is hard to write for children. The older teens will be more interesting, and besides Alexis is about 50 something, she looks ridiculus with little girls.
They would have to make Morgan older too.
