One of our favorite General Hospital actresses, Carolyn Henessy (Diane Miller) has been cast in a pilot that has been greenlit by ABC, Cougartown, also starring Courtney Cox Arquette. The comedy is about "mature" women and younger men.

This probably means that condolences for poor Max (Derk Cheetwood) will be in order, but champagne must flow for this beautiful, feisty actress. Her light deserves to shine brightly.

that stinks, i love her on GH and her bond with Alexis is so fun to watch. if she does leave i hope they don’t recast as she will be impossible to replace.

if this new show works out, i’ll definitely watch!!

I love her and wish her well. I don’t think I’d watch the show they are describing, though. In my part of the country, I haven’t see that. The only 20 year gaps are older men/younger women.

Sounds like a great show…something I am looking forward to..I wonder if its a Spring debut or Fall??
Hopefully she will stay put on GH if it’s the same network!!

if she can do both that would be amazing. if she’s not on GH anymore, there would be a definite void.

however, if she left how great would it be if Dara came back? i really liked her, and it would diversify the cast a bit.

This show sounds right up her alley. I always thought she liked younger men! No one will watch this show. There are a lot of people who are against these types of mother-son relationships!

I will tune in to watch when I find out when it will be on. I will give it a chance, only because I like her soo much.

This whole cougar thing is a revenge fantasy, like The First Wives Club. It imagines a world in which men don’t act like men, they act in ways women would like a lot better.

Most men would rather be alone than with an older woman, and most women don’t want to be sex toys. Sure, a female movie star may go out with a younger actor who will benefit in a lot of ways from the association, and in Hollywood, marriages are like going steady in other places, but most women prefer to be taken seriously in relationships, at least most of the women I know. If not, they’d just as soon get a dog.

I second that Rats!! I hate to see her go as she was one of my favorite ladies on GH! So, I am happy that she has a great part but I think it stinks for us!! I loved her and Max!! The comedy was great. Oh rats again!!!!! I will watch her new show though. Hope her role on the new one is as funny and fiesty as her’s on GH

I really like Diane, she added so much to the court scenes and her scenes with Sonny. I really will miss her and hope she can come back..

Carolyn is a great actress and her voice is incredible. As once said by someone”I would listen to her read the phone book” Maybe she could do both shows since she is not utilized as much as we would all like. The best of luck to her!

I’m glad for her. They have scarcely used her so far this year, and I’ve already seen her in one commercial, so I felt she was looking for work elsewhere. I think Nancy Grahn might as well look for other work, too. I don’t know why we were allowed to see them do scenes together in the first place since the show apparently thinks that women who have any brains should be shot, like Kate, or tuned into shrews, or made fun of, or catch near fatal diseases, like Alexis. I no longer evern watched GH beyond maybe a few minutes of it, to see whose going to be on. I find watching Sonny/Claudia scenes about as entertaining as watching flies on a rotten apple.

Oh-man!Could y’all sign her up for some recurring episodes with Alexis and Max? They are beautiful together, smart and talented-come on guys, do you really want to lose the coupling of their strenths? It’s been such a long time since we got to see Alexis’fantastic talent mirrored so well with somebody else, do something quick!

Let’s hope that she can split some time between shows, but I am thrilled for her. I love her on the show and I don’t know what Max will do with out her (sob)To quote another commenter “I’m glad they didn’t shoot her and let her be brilliantly smart. A rare commedity these days.
