Looks Like Steve Burton Will Remain as Jason
Good news for Steve Burton fans and for General Hospital - the news from the west coast is looking good for the actor staying on as Right now, the details of his new contract are being negotiated.
As I wrote earlier, I suspect that viewers won't be seeing the character as much as they do now.
Jason's private life - he doesn't have one - once Burton's contract is settled, we may see some action in that department. Supposedly the new promos coming out are heavy with Jason and Sam action. That doesn't mean he and Sam will be an item because promos can be used as teasers, too. He does talk a lot to Sam, so the fact that he spends time with her isn't unusual. The word is that they share a kiss on July 13, but it's platonic.
One columnist still believes that Burton and Sarah Brown have great chemistry, so Jason and Claudia should get together! That would be something.

I certainly hope they do NOT have Jason and Sam become a couple again. If their story was real, Sam would have to be an absolute idiot to get back together with a guy who was and is clearly in love with somebody else, who clearly has never and will never love her, and oh, also, she does have a great friendship and business relationship with. Lots to lose, nothing to gain.

I love Jason and would love to see him stay. I just wish he could have a wife and children. There is one thing I don’t get though-how did Christina become 16 and older than Michael in only a matter of 2 years. Wasn’t she just 7 or 8 years old? I thought when Michael went into the coma he was 12 and he was only in a coma for 1 year, so how does he become older or Christina be older?????
Dawn, they both had SORAS, Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome… the writers aged all the kids 5 or 6 years.
I am very happy that Steve is working. He is a great actor. I’ve watched him working as Jason Morgan since 1999. I’ve watched him in other roles also and the other writers do not know waht to do with him.
Just accept the the fact that he is a good actor and do not trly and put him in the Jason Morgan role.
I love him as Jason Morgan, but even he can not save GH from the turkey it has become. No one wants to watch for the next ten years Super Jase saving Sonny’s children or his many women for stupid things that the so called writer have in mind. I stoped watching GH in December and have not changed my mind.
I want to see Jason with Elizbeth. They are good for each other. I hate it that they had to break up. They have so much love for each other they are soulmates and I wish the GH would get them back together. I have been watching and waited and I hope they open their eyes and see want all the see and WHAT!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I dont care who they put Jason with, but if they let Steve Burton go, then I go too.
I pray they don’t put Jason and Sam together again because it would just be wrong. Sam has watched Jason’s son Jake get kidnapped and said nothing and let Jason and Liz go crazy over they missing son. Sam also hired two men to scare Liz and the boys away from Jason. I would not want any woman who would intentionally put two innocent children in harm’s way because she her feelings where hurt. I know this is a soap opera and it is not real but this show’s main viewers are women and alot of them have children and would not want to see these two put together.
I would love to see Sam and Jason together. At first I have to admit that I didn’t want Sam to have him back after all she did, but she accepts him for who he is and has never tried to change him. They also do well together on action scenes, Sam is a tough cookie.
I think that Jason and Sam need to get back together, breaking them up was a mistake I love them together and I can’t wait until this happens. Jason does love Sam and having Jason back together will raise the ratings on the show. I hope that Steve B. stays and gets his family life with Sam. Go Jasam!!!
