New Writer to Join 'General Hospital' Staff

Wednesday June 24, 2009

Producer/writer Josh Griffith will be joining the General Hospital writing staff on a trial basis.

Griffith is a soap veteran and has worked in many different departments. He was the co-creator of Sunset Beach (with Bob Guza). For a time, he was executive producer of The Young and the Restless. Griffith's writing experience includes gigs on One Life to Live, As the World Turns, and Santa Barbara.

Hopefully Griffith can inject some fresh ideas into GH scripts.

I mean, yeah! Something gotta give here. Normally I don’t but, now, I’m walking and coming on this thing. How boring is that? Or, I’m sitting outside for awhile, eh?

SO EXCITED….provided it doesn’t follow any trends or stories from Sunset Beach.

I have been watching GH for over 30yrs and I’m so upset that after all Claudia and Sonny have been through….why kill her baby. After all we finally grow to love her and understand her. She came from a family with hardly a mother and a cruel father, now has a husband for business….and now…true love…a son. WHY, WHY, WHY take it away? Can’t you writers change your mind. I am done watching it for now since the story line that we have been hoping to progress turns to a tragic ending with the death of Claudia’s baby. WHY?
