General Hospital's ratings increased before Christmas, while the other soaps had a decrease in viewership.
General Hospital gained 472,000 viewers for the year 2012, and 143,000 for the week of December 17-21.
In the 18-49 demographic, the soap gained 124,000 viewers last year, putting it 1/10th of a point behind The Young and the Restless in that group.
