Karen gives Kevin breakfast and tells him she thought he should have a good start to the day, Kevin tells her that he knows what the day holds, more misery called detox, Karen says that he is wrong that she got him out of the hospital so that she could look after him and he is doing better so he owes her one, she throws him a baseball and he says "Like I said, another day of torture."
Ricky opens the door and Casey walks in asking him why he called her out of bed to come over, he tells her he got her some of the cinnamon rolls that she loves Casey digs in and he takes them away and says that she gets all of them and more as soon as she agrees to go to New York with him. Casey tells him that she can't because there is too much for her to do here, Ricky wants to know if she is cheating on him, that she is always talking about being his guardian angel but she is always looking after other people, Casey tells him it is not like that he tells her that he is a rock star and has the city at his feet and can really show her the town, he gives her a pair of earrings and Casey puts them on, he tells her they are beautiful. Casey tells him that she can't go to New York with him and Ricky jumps up and tells her that she has to.
Livvie wakes up alone and looks around the apartment for Caleb, when she realizes that she is alone she wonders where he could have gone.
Caleb tells Allison to tell the truth and she says that she is that she was out picking flowers, Caleb says that maybe she was after she went to Joshua's, Rafe jumps in and tells Caleb to back off, and Ali wants to know why he thinks she would lie. Caleb says that she is out of her mind or drugged or something. Rafe says that Caleb is trying to run some kind of scam on them and Caleb says that Ali is lying and Rafe is a fool if he believes her.
Casey wants to know why Ricky is having a total meltdown, Ricky wants to know when he becomes a priority, that she is always focused on other people and he just wants to spend time with her, Casey reminds him that they can't be alone, that they can't follow their instincts because it would mean the end for her, Ricky tells her that they are strong and they can handle it and besides she is always looking after other people and he wants the chance to look after her because that is what you do when you love somebody Casey holds him and tells him how important he is to her and there has to be a way for them to spend time together without jeopardizing her time on earth, Ricky wants to know if that means she will go with him, Casey's tells him to name the time and she will be there. Ricky walks away from her and says that she really must trust him; she tells him that of course she trusts him, he has a big heart and he would never hurt her, Casey wants to know what is wrong and at first he says nothing then he tells her that she should not trust him.
Allison wants to know why Caleb thinks she is lying, she says that Rafe risked his life to save her and she would never go back there, Caleb says that she is lying and is here because Joshua wants her to be here, he tells Rafe that he is being set up, Rafe tells Caleb that he would not take his work over Ali's, Allison says that Caleb should go, Caleb says that they deserve each other and as he leaves he turns and tells Rafe that he should sleep with his eyes open.
Kevin and Karen toss the ball around the room and he tells her this is absurd, she tells him that it is working because he is thinking about how absurd this is and not what a disaster his life is, Kevin tells her that she must be the illegitimate child of Pollyanna and Nurse Ratchet. They talk about Karen and her problems and throw the ball harder, Kevin throws the ball through the window and they both smile.
