Spoilers - Week of May 9, 2005 and beyond

A marriage over...another suspect in A.J.'s murder - and this one's short...Helena and Emily face off...someone is late, and it's not for dinner - all next week and beyond on General Hospital!

As General Hospital rolls into next week, Reese becomes concerned that Michael may have killed A.J. And Monica drops the real bombshell to Jason - she claims that she saw Michael smother his biological father! It falls to Jason to tell Carly. Sonny and Jason separately decide to confess to the crime in order to protect Michael. Jason spends time with Sam, and Sonny turns his attentions on Carly, with neither woman the wiser that they are involved in farewells. Sonny confesses before Jason, though. Michael appears to have no memory of what he did. Sonny blames his violent lifestyle. In the meantime, it's probably good that Jason is on the outside - Sam may be pregnant.

With Sonny in prison, there goes the marriage of Alexis and Ric. They realize their priorities are different. Ric would like to see his brother released; Alexis thinks he's fine where he is. Not only that, but the devastating truth Ric learns of Alexis' involvement with Durant leads Ric to realize he barely knows the woman he married. Look for Durant to use Alexis to attempt to take over Ric's job as DA, and look for Ric to turn to an unlikely source for comfort: Reese.

It's business as usual for Helena when she kidnaps Emily. The cost of Emily's freedom? Helena's money, stolen from her account and put into Tracy's. Lorenzo pays the ransom, and Luke places a device in the money in order to track it and therefore find Helena. Helena hasn't planned for the angrier, more out of control Emily, however. Before she realizes what has happened, Helena is staring down the sharp end of a knife. But Emily doesn't need to take any action; the police arrest Helena. The question is, how long will she stay in jail this time? Lucky picks up Nikolas, finally a free man, from prison. Reunited with Emily, it's time for the couple to work out their problems, using some special therapy.

Lorenzo wants Carly to leave Port Charles with him, but she refuses because of her children. Lorenzo doesn't take it well.

So get ready for one man to get out of jail, another to head up the river, and an unexpected murderer - all next week on General Hospital!
