The ABC Television Network received 49 nominations for the 29th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards during a ceremony today in New York City's Rainbow Room, including Outstanding Drama Series for "One Life to Live" and a 28th consecutive nomination for "All My Children." Emmy-winner Susan Lucci's (Erica Kane on "All My Children") 21st nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actress category was among "All My Children's" 21 nominations. "The View" received 10 nominations, including Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host, honoring co-hosts Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Joy Behar and Lisa Ling.
Joining Ms. Lucci in the Outstanding Lead Actress category is fellow Emmy-winner Finola Hughes (Alexandra and Anna Devane on "All My Children"). First-time nominee Jack Scalia (Chris Stamp on "All My Children") and castmate Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward on "All My Children") each received nominations in the Outstanding Lead Actor category.
Kelly Ripa (Hayley Santos on "All My Children") was nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, while Josh Duhamel (Leo du Pres on "All My Children"), Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos on "All My Children") and Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery on "All My Children") each received nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category.
"All My Children's" Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery on "All My Children") and Jesse McCartney (Adam Chandler Jr. on "All My Children") were each honored with their second consecutive nomination in the Outstanding Younger Actress and Outstanding Younger Actor categories, respectively. Jacob Young (Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital") and Brian Presley (Jack Ramsey on "Port Charles") also received nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
In other categories, ABC's nominees include "Disney's Teacher's Pet" and "Disney's The Legend of Tarzan" as Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.
