6/23/2000...Ned
is waiting for Chloe to return from her doctor’s visit when Alexis arrives.
Alexis questions the validity of Chloe’s so-called psychic dream about
Stefan and the conversation is interrupted by a call from Sonny asking Alexis to
keep him informed if AJ files any charges against Carly. Ned and Alexis discuss Stefan’s supposed passing and Alexis
says she thinks it could be a cruel stunt but rejects Ned’s offer to help.
After Alexis leaves, Chloe returns to report no change in her medical
status and encourages Ned to go after Alexis regardless of her protests.
Chloe has another dream that appears to be about Laura and Helena
discussing Stefan’s death although it is not totally clear if this is a dream.
Helena tells Laura that Stefan only loved her because he couldn’t be
part of the forbidden sin of being in love with his own mother.
Bobbie
has her first encounter with the resurrected Lucky at the docks and Lucky
pitches her his theory about Nik and Liz being romantically involved since his
departure. Bobbie refutes his
theory and tells him to follow his heart, that Liz’s love endured even when
she thought he was dead. Helena stops by and insinuates that Bobbie may be hiding Luke
from the authorities. Bobbie tells
her to shove off and then questions Lucky’s defense of Helena, telling him
that he should avoid her at all costs.
Back
at Laura’s place, she and Roy discuss Luke’s possible involvement with
Stefan’s disappearance and explore the options of stacked evidence, old
grudges, and everyone’s capacity for murder.
After Roy leaves, Laura receives a letter from Stefan claiming that if
she is reading the letter, he is dead and Luke killed him.
The message is riddled with all kinds of references to Stefan’s meeting
with Luke, the implied threats Luke has made, and Stefan’s undying yet flawed
love for Laura and Nikolas. As
Laura weeps and digests the contents of the letter, Leslie arrives home and
points out to Laura the suspicious nature of the correspondence to which Laura
defends Stefan’s misunderstood love and devotion to her and his family.
Hannah
goes to Jake’s to officially investigate an incident and Taggert comes into
the bar. After Taggert is called
away on business, AJ challenges Hannah to a game of pool in which if he wins, he
gets to kiss her; if she wins, he buys her dinner.
Roy and Bobbie have a cocktail in the background as Roy worries about
Hannah keeping company with AJ.
Stefan
shares a steamy moment in Paris with an attractive blonde in his boudoir but
sends her packing when a messenger arrives at his door.
The package he receives is a CD ROM recording of Andreas and Helena
discussing the mystery of how Luke could be framed by Stefan if he is dead.
Carly
freaks out when she can’t find Michael during her holiday with Sonny and Sonny
reassures her that Michael is safe on the beach with Leticia. She questions
Sonny’s motives about keeping her around since the baby is gone and Sonny
reveals that he needs her and understands her and that he thinks the feelings
are reciprocal. At first, Carly is comforted by his affection but then goes
off in a rage, claiming that he doesn’t realize the importance of making AJ
pay for his dastardly deeds. She ends her tirade by shouting to Sonny that she
hates him.
