Wednesday
9/20/2000...Ned brings Alexis roses but she refuses them when she finds
out they are connected to an Eddie’s Angel fan. They explore all the Eddie’s Angel websites and emails and
Johnny stops by to pick up some of the flowers Alexis has received to take to GH.
Alexis receives the request from Bobbie to represent Luke.
Lucky reports to Nik that he found a guy who knew Zander
and gave him information about him for money.
They decide to ask Elizabeth to join them on their trip to upstate New
York to investigate the lead.
Bobbie visits Luke at the PC jail and asks him what his
next move is. Luke replies his only
goal is to prove his innocence. Bobbie
tells him she’s already put a call in to Alexis to hire her as his defense
lawyer. Luke asks her to tell Lucky
about his arrest before he reads it in the paper and Bobbie tells him Lucky
already knows.
Jason tells Liz that Zander won’t hurt Emily as long as
he needs her and Liz asks what happens then.
Jason doesn’t think paying people for information is a good idea and he
advises Liz not to get involved in such a plan. He tells Liz about Sonny and Carly’s wedding and what
circumstances surrounded the union. Eventually
the conversation comes around to Lucky just as he and Nik walking into
Kelly’s. Jason warns the trio to
be cautious and Lucky is disappointed that Liz told Jason about their plan.
Lucky sees Jason’s interference as an attempt to impress Liz rather than help
Emily. Bobbie tells Lucky that Luke
is in local custody and wants to see him but Lucky refuses.
Liz tries to convince him that he should see Luke before taking off for
Albany. Nikolas suggests they
rethink the trip to Albany and they finally decide that Lucky and Liz should go
and Nik should stay behind to cover the raves and provide a home base. After
Lucky leaves, Liz tells Nik that she knows his plan is a ruse to reunite her and
Lucky.
Outside Kelly’s, Bobbie and Felicia share a welcome home
hug and they discuss Mac and Luke. Felicia
is confused because she is reuniting with Mac but still feels the need to stand
by Luke. Felicia asks Bobbie to
tell Luke that she will be there for him if he ever needs her.
Felicia finds Mac’s pager in her purse and goes to the police station
to return it to him.
Mac starts in on Luke at the police station and all the
same old hostilities between them resurface.
Luke accuses Mac of fabricating evidence and Mac denies it.
Mac refuses to even admit he has a grudge against Luke and points out
that regardless of Luke’s claims of innocence, he still has no alibi for the
night of Stefan’s supposed murder.
AJ pours
himself a drink and then puts it down without tasting it as a serious, pondering
look comes over his face. He gets
all spiffed up and as he starts to leave with his briefcase in hand, Hannah
arrives. She presents him with a
stack of cash and asks if he thinks it’s enough to buy Emily’s freedom.
Hannah tells him she knows he has contacted Sorel and tried to make a
deal for Emily’s release. Hannah warns him that he’s going to be set up and tries to
prevent him from leaving to meet Sorel but with no luck. Hannah asks Jason to
help her stop AJ from meeting with Sorel. Jason
tries to make AJ see the errors of his plans to negotiate with Sorel and
eventually AJ sees Jason’s point and agrees to back off.
Monica and Lila anxiously wait for news about Emily.
Lila comes to Monica’s defense when Edward attacks her once again.
Edward blames everyone’s influence on Emily’s plight.
He asks Ned to use his notoriety to influence the media and help Emily.
Lila relates a story to Ned about an old scandal similar to the one
Alexis is involved in that was solved by the man and woman getting married and
quashing the rumor mill. Ned’s
face lights up with interest.
Dara welcomes Felicia upon her arrival at the police
station. While Dara tracks down
Mac, Felicia spots Luke in the interrogation room.
Mac sees her gazing at Luke and tells her that Dara didn’t tell him
that she was there but that he expected her to show up anyway.
When Felicia gives him his pager, he apologizes for jumping to
conclusions. Alexis tells Luke to
refuse if Felicia tries to visit him. He is saddened to see Mac and Felicia leave together.
