Gia suggests to Nikolas that he sell his horse Sheba to
raise money. The family lawyer
drops by to announce that Stefan has left Nikolas a considerable amount of money
that is not part of the estate and that he will be well-provided for by monthly
deposits into his checking account. Helena
walks through the front door uninvited. Nik
refers her to his lawyers when she attempts to discuss the estate with him.
She accuses him of having a tryst with Gia and he sets her straight by
breaking the news that Gia lives there. Helena
tries to guilt Nikolas into throwing Gia out and threatens to tell Gia’s
mother of the arrangement.
Stefan and Chloe enjoy fish grilled over an open fire for
breakfast. Stefan tenderly rubs a
smudge of soot off Chloe’s face. Stefan
gets a visit from one of his employees who tells him Nikolas got the funds he
transferred and that he was right about Helena cutting Nikolas off from his
money. The two stage a fake fight
when Chloe returns and Chloe jumps on the alleged intruder and has to be pulled
off by Stefan. Stefan promises to
kill anyone who ever touches Chloe.
Monica is particularly snippy at the hospital as she awaits
her lab results. Juan tells Monica
that Alexis is representing Zander. Monica
thanks Juan for the information and promises to take care of it.
Alan sets off to demand that Alexis drop the case.
Monica accuses Bobbie of being distracted when she misses a medication
notation on a patient’s chart. Florence
asks Bobbie if she can rent an apartment in the brownstone.
Bobbie introduces her to Roy. Bobbie
is disturbed by her error on the chart and Roy attempts to calm her fears of
incompetence. Helena runs into
Florence and tells her about Gia and Nikolas sharing living quarters.
Florence thanks her for the information.
Helena claims Nikolas is going through a rebellious period and is using
Gia to assert his independence.
Alexis offers Zander a pre-trial deal of the charges being
dropped if he testifies against Sorel but Zander is not interested.
He is sure Sorel will go after Emily if he complies with Alexis’
request and is doubtful that any bodyguards could protect her.
Monica visits Zander in jail and tells him he will never see Emily again
and that he better back off. Zander
retorts that he and Emily’s feeling for each other are none of Monica’s
business. Monica promises she
doesn’t care what happens to him but only has concern for Emily.
Zander claims to know Emily better than Monica.
Alan tells Edward and Lila that he has suggested AJ as
Ned’s best man. Monica’s stress
is causing Alan to feel anxious. Edward
promises to force Ned to choose AJ as his best man.
Ned and AJ exchange barbs outside Kelly’s as the wedding planner
introduces himself. AJ informs Roy
that he has purchased a local, semi-pro football team for Hannah.
AJ asks Roy if he would rather see Hannah end up with him than Taggert.
Roy discloses his doubts about AJ’s character.
AJ presents the football team paperwork to Hannah.
They agree that she will accept season tickets, nothing more.
Ned outlines he and Alexis’ needs for the wedding
planner, including Alexis’ aversion to red roses.
He encourages the man to talk to the press as often as possible and
abandon any ideas of discretion. Alexis
meets with the wedding planner who promises to give her the wedding of her
dreams, a ceremony “to die for.”
Edward gets grilled by Amanda Barrington about Ned’s
upcoming wedding to Alexis. Ned
interrupts the meeting in time to hear Edward tell Amanda that AJ is going to be
his best man. Ned is saddened by
Amanda’s observance that he is becoming more like Edward every day.
Ned screams at Edward about the possibility of AJ being his best man and
Edward is caught by Lila trying to make her the reason for Ned to choose AJ.Ned agrees to ask AJ to do the honors if it will make Lila happy.
Gia
tells Nik that they have to stock the refrigerator to save money and not eat out
anymore. She worries about Helena
telling her mother about she and Nik
