Pretty, 31-year-old Erin Chambers is a newcomer to General Hospital, though not to soaps. From 2004-2008. Erin Chambers played Lacey Hanson on Days of Our Lives. Erin Chambers was recently put on contract on General Hospital to play the mysterious Siobhan McKenna, Lucky Spencer's new love interest. Chambers shares a birthday (September 24) with another General Hospital actress, Megan Ward (Kate).
Bitten by the Acting Bug
Chambers was born in Portland, Oregon. She became intensely involved in theater in high school, both acting and singing, performing in productions Hello, Dolly, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night's Dream, 42nd Street, Fame, and others. She earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a Minor in English from Brigham Young University. While there, she was nominated twice for the Irene Ryan Award for her work as Irina in Three Sisters and Roxanne in Cyrano. She was kept busy at BYU, with leads in The Philadelphia Story and The Children's Hour as well. At the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Solvang, California, she played Johanna, the soprano role, in Sweeney Todd.
A Busy Career
As a professional, Chambers found success in commercials for Dr. Pepper, Taco Bell, and Clean & Clear Skincare products. On television, she has appeared on ER, Veronica Mars, Joan and Arcadia, Stargate: Atlantis, CSI, CSI: NY, Bones, Standoff, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, Without a Trace, and Cold Case. She played Priscilla Presley in Tears of a King (2007), and starred in a Disney Channel Original movie, Don't Look Under the Bed.
A practicing member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Chambers starred in the 2008 Latter Day Saints' film, The Errand of Angels, on which she served as associate producer. She has also appeared in a number of independent films, including Heber Holiday, The Singles 2nd Ward, and Ricochet River. This year, she has a film, Nesting, due to be released.
Chambers has been married to Carson McKay since 2002.
