Blonde, pert Claire Coffee, who played nurse Nadine Crowell on General Hospital participated from the age of five in children's acting classes to help her get over her shyness.
After working in regional theaters in the San Francisco area and in central California, Coffee earned her theater degree from the prestigious Northwestern University and moved to Los Angeles. She appeared in several TV shows before landing three episodes on The West Wing as Cassie Tatum in 2003. In 2007, after more TV work on shows like Psych, CSI, Navy CIS and Cold Case, Coffee was hired to play Nadine Crowell on General Hospital. On the show, she played a nurse who has an affair with Nikolas Cassadine. Her role led to some feature roles in films, including This Might Hurt (2009).
Today: Coffee, who turned 30 on April 14, 2010, has been a busy actress since leaving General Hospital. She has written, directed, and starred in a short film, Chelsey & Kelsey Are Really Good Roommates, in which she played Chelsey. She also appears in another film, Inventing Adam currently in post-production. On television, Coffee has made appearances on the series Ted Sampon: Househusband, The League, The Good Guys, and a new show, Franklin & Bash, currently in post-production.
