Sarah Joy Brown:

Powerful actress Sarah Joy Brown has brought her talent to two roles on General Hospital, first as the manipulative and ambitious Carly Benson Quartermaine Corinthos and today as mob daughter Claudia Zacchara. Brown graduated from the Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts, and a short time later, launched her career as the star of VR Troopers, a popular children's show that broadcast internationally.

A short time later, Brown won the role of Carly on General Hospital. She became the first actress to play this important role, for which she won three Daytime Emmy Awards. While performing on General Hospital, Brown did stage work, including productions of Much Ado About Nothing, The Rainmaker, and Cyrano de Bergerac. Not one to sit on her laurels, Brown left the soap opera in 2001. During the next few years, she appeared as a guest star on prime-time television in shows such as Without a Trace, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, Monk, The Closer, and Strong Medicine, in recurring roles on Mysterious Ways and 10-8: Officers on Duty, and in the USA television movie The Perfect Husband.

In 2004, Brown played Julia Jackson on As The World Turns for one year and then returned to prime time. In 2008, she returned to General Hospital, this time as Claudia, the feisty, bitter daughter of mobster Anthony Zacchara. She has since left to join Bold & the Beautiful. However, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her work on General Hospital for the year 2009.

In her free time, Brown likes to spend time with her daughter, Jordan Alexandra, who was born in 1998 to Brown and noted musician Shuki Levy.
