After much speculation, the role of Dante Falconeri, the son Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) hid from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) all these years, has been cast. Dante will be played by David Lago, a 2005 Daytime Emmy Award Winner for his role as Raul Guitierrez on The Young and the Restless. Lago played Raul for five years.

The 29-year-old California native has been active in show business since 1997. Before landing a part on The Young and the Restless, While best know for his role of Raul Gutierrez on The Young and the Restless, Lago played Jeremy on the WB series 7th Heaven and starred in a series for the Animal Planet Network, Hollywood Safari. He also appeared on several television shows, including Step by Step, Dangerous Minds and Pacific Blue.

Since departing The Young and the Restless in 2005, Lago has appeared in eight independent films and formed his own production company, Lago films. His company debuted with a short drama, Obsidere, in 2007.

An accomplished musician, Lago has a band, panacea, in which he plays several instruments and sings.

Now he adds to his busy schedule by taking what promises to be the intense role of Dante. Dante has no idea that his father is mobster Sonny Corinthos, and from his conversations with his mother Olivia, believes that Corinthos is a man to be feared.

Well, pretty soon, Dante will be calling Sonny "Daddy."
