Ilia Volok Joins Cast of 'General Hospital'

Actor Ilia Volok joins the cast of General Hospital on July 18 as Russian mobster Karpov. Volok is a native of Kiev, Ukraine. He studied acting in Russia for five years before coming to America, where he supported himself as a cemetery worker while looking for acting work. He has an impressive list of credis, including roles in: Indiana Jones and the Adventure of the Crystal Skull, Charlie Wilson's War and the upcoming films Hired Gun and The Soloist. TV appearances include a short run on The Young and the Restless and guest spots on ER, Monk, CSI: New York, Alias and many others. Welcome, Ilia.
