Mac Scorpio/James Meadows

A KidnappER with the Face of a KidnappEE

By

John J. York (Mac Scorpio/James Meadows)

American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.
John J. York got a chance to play not only Mac Scorpio but his double, James Meadows when detective Felicia Jones took the case of a woman named Tess. Tess wanted Felicia to find her missing husband. Felicia noticed that the husband looked just like Mac when she saw the photo Tess brought her.

As this confusing story progressed, Mac was kidnapped by Tess. Tess then sent out his replacement double, James Meadows, who pretended to be Mac. The plan was to set up Mac for the murder of Jax, who was an enemy of James. Tess was caught, but that was just the beginning.

Believing James to be Mac, Felicia had accepted his marriage proposal. Everyone was thrilled that Mac and Felicia were getting back together that the couple (who at that point weren't really a couple) didn't have the heart to tell them that it wasn't true.

There's the old adage, "act as if," and in this case, it worked. Mac and Felicia discovered that they were indeed in love. At the double wedding of Felicia/Mac and Lucy/Kevin, Felicia and Mac had decided that they would at that point announce the truth. This way, the guests wouldn't be cheated out of a wedding. Instead, Mac told Felicia that he loved her. Lucy and Kevin decided not to get married, but Mac and Felicia did.
