"I'm not pregnant," Carly announces to Jax - that doesn't answer whether or not Sonny could be the father, but it deflects the issue.
Jason tells Sonny that Carly is not pregnant; he saw the test. "I haven't slept with Carly since the summer I met her," he informs Sonny. Would he have lied for Carly? Sonny wants to know. Jason doesn't directly answer. "Carly tried to fix a potential problem by lying," he says. "It's what she always does." He gives Sonny the benefit of more insight: everyone in his or her own way is trying to deal with Michael's shooting and subsequent coma.
Kate met with Maxie and Lulu in her office to talk about the eight pages to be devoted to her wedding in Crimson. Lulu wants to know how Sonny is going to take all of the publicity. Kate says that she will need a backup for the eight pages in case Sonny disapproves.
Ric visits Kate at her office. It's imperative that with the tension between the Zacchara family and Jason that Sonny keep out of the business. He needs her help. "I interfered with Sonny's business once before. I won't make that same mistake again," Kate answers. This means Ric has to go to Sonny, which he does. He tells Sonny about the threat against Kristina. Sonny hits the ceiling. His child had been threatened, and no one had informed him. He wants Jason to "take care of" Anthony.
Jax is Kate's next visitor. She shows him the overly high budget for the magazine, but Jax is preoccupied with other things, such as Carly. After he departs, Kate tells Maxie and Lulu that no one should be allowed to barge into her office. She doesn't want Sonny and Jax to run into each other at Crimson. She returns to her office. Seconds later, Carly barges into Kate's office, too quick for Maxie and Lulu. Kate sighs. Carly advises Kate not to plan a big wedding since Sonny will probably leave her waiting at the altar. Her final words of advice are that if Kate is going to persist with her fancy wedding, she really should make sure Sonny is in the church before she starts down the aisle, lest she end up like Brenda.
Home from being held hostage, Johnny becomes apoplectic over Claudia's involvement in Michael's shooting. He now realizes Jerry never wanted to buy property - he just wanted to spy on Claudia. Claudia admits that Jerry is the person who stabbed her. Johnny is incensed that she kept all of this from him. Alexis sees Jerry on the docks and asks what happened with Johnny. Jerry hands her a paper and asks her to keep it for him.
Robin is stunned that her own mother is taking Patrick's side and not hers regarding his involvement in the baby's life. Diane suggests to Patrick that he drop the charges. He's going to pursue the case. Robin wants to hire Alexis. Alexis has the same advice that Elizabeth had - try and work it out without going to court. That night, after Robin goes to bed, Patrick arrives at the apartment to speak with Anna. How can he make Robin understand that he wants to be part of the baby's life, that he wants them to be a family? Anna agrees to intervene on Patrick's behalf, but she warns him that if he hurts Robin, she will "terminate with extreme prejudice," to coin a phrase from her line of work. Patrick gets the message. Spinelli sits in a wheelchair near the nurse's station. Apparently he did take the tests that Dr. Hunter suggested. Elizabeth wants to wheel him to his room; Spinelli tries to explain the conversation he had with her about Stone Cold and Claudia. She threatens to have him sedated. Spinelli is discharged from the hospital later that day and again appears at the nurse's station and AGAIN tries to talk about Stone Cold and Claudia; this time, however, Stone Cold himself shows up. Realizing that Spinelli is at it again, Jason is irate. Elizabeth assures Spinelli that she knows what he was trying to do by speaking with her earlier. However, Spinelli isn't finished. He wants Elizabeth to wheel him out to the car. He thinks that she and Jason have some tension between them. Elizabeth tells the well-meaning Spinelli that she and Jason simply have their own lives now.
