When Courtney returns, Jax, in a bored voice, tells her what happened. "All very touching, isn't it?" he asks. "You didn't need to go running to Jason after all." Courtney looks surprised. Jax asks, "Did you ever think of talking to the police? What about asking for my help?" "Are you jealous?" she wants to know. "You look to Jason as your rescuer. Maybe you like that connection. Maybe my mother was right," he says. Angrily, Courtney picks up her things and leaves.
The judge asks Alexis how she feels about joint custody. "I find it totally unacceptable," she states. "I would gladly share custody with the father of my daughter if he were what he claims to be, but he's not. You're not a coffee importer. You're a mob boss. You have lied to me, you have lied to everyone about who you are." The judge turns to Sonny. "You stated that your daughter belongs with you - have you changed your mind?" "No," Sonny answers, "I believe she needs both her father and her mother." "Miss Davis has been consistently unwilling to compromise," "Jordan states. "It was never my intention to take Kristina from her mother. I just want to be a father to my child," Sonny says. "I want her to play with her brothers and know where she came from." The judge calls for recess while pondering her decision. Outside court, Sam tells Jason that she's convinced Alexis is overreacting in the same way she did when Sonny asked her to sign the agreement for visitation of their daughter.
Alexis storms out of the courtroom, Ric behind her. "Be honest with yourself," Ric encourages her. "Is shared custody better than Kristina living with Sonny full time? It's time to compromise." They're called back into the courtroom. Courtney stops Jason outside and asks for his help with the Diego-Alcazar situation. She's afraid Diego will end up in jail. It won't look good for the head of a children's foundation. "I know I'm a total hypocrite asking you," she says.
Alexis addresses the court and agrees to shared custody reluctantly. The judge awards half of Kristina's time with Alexis and half with Sonny. Sonny instead suggests that Kristina live with Alexis as long as Alexis agrees to unlimited visitation, including overnights and vacations. Alexis looks shell-shocked, but she is forced to agree. Ric assures Alexis that once Sonny has established himself in Kristina's life, the visitations will become less. "Every second that she's with him, I'll be afraid," Alexis says. Sonny thanks Carly for being in court. Alexis approaches Sonny. "I'll be in touch about a schedule." "We don't need a schedule," he says. The agreement was unlimited visitation, and that means I can have her any time I want - starting now." Alexis fights back the tears.
Carly asks if Sam if Jason found her at Jake's, indicating that she sent him. "I'm just trying to repay the favor to Jason," Carly says. "He cares about you." With that, she leaves.
Alexis returns to the hospital, Sonny standing in the doorway. Sonny smiles and takes Kristina in his arms. Alexis walks out of the room.
