Malice
Everyone wants Manny dead; Carly wants Emily dead; Nikolas wants Jax dead; Jax wants Nikolas dead; it's the holiday season.
Diego will be heading for Pentonville, but before he goes, Alcazar promises to speak with the judge. "You did save Maxie," his father points out. "Maybe you can get out earlier." "Don't do it," Diego says. "I need to pay for what I've done and the people I hurt." Noble, but wait until he gets there. "Please stop trying to get Nikolas and me back together," Emily insists to Elizabeth. "Okay," Elizabeth replies, "but I still think you're meant to be." "I've moved out of Sonny's," Emily says. "It's okay. I'm glad to get back to school." "When people protest that much," Elizabeth says, "it's usually because they're lying."
Well, Courtney and Nikolas take a look at the paternity test and again, Jax comes up the winner. "It doesn't change anything," Nikolas insists. "I'm going to be there for you and the baby."
One of Patrick's surgeries is cancelled, and Patrick believes that Robin is responsible. This sends him to Mars without a space shuttle. "You need to be patient when you're dealing with brain medication," she says, without knowing what the problem is. When she finds out, it's obvious she didn't do it. "I did it," Noah announces, joining them. "I didn't think the surgery was necessary." He turns to Patrick. "I think you just want to be a hero." Manny is brought in, and Robin, Noah, and Patrick discuss the case. "Get a CT scan," Patrick says, but then asks Noah, "Is that what you think?" with all the sarcasm he can muster. Which is quite a bit.
Sonny ends up saying "Emily needed to get back to her life, so she's moved out" to both Michael and Alexis. Neither of them are happy. Sonny receives a telephone call from Sam and learns about Manny. He wants Alexis to watch the kids - I guess Leticia is on vacation or something - while he goes to GH for what reason we don't know. Alexis says okay too soon. She learns very quickly that Morgan and Michael haven't been raised with, let's say, much discipline. Panicked, she calls Jax so she can take the kids to Kelly's.
At Kelly's, Courtney and Nikolas are still there ruminating over the paternity test. Courtney attempts to apologize to Jax, but he's not interested. "I can't believe you would risk our child and have another paternity test," he fumes. He and Nikolas are soon in a shouting match. "You're going to pay the price if you don't stop risking our child's life!" Jax yells at Courtney. Michael actually stops the fight by standing on a table and shouting. Everyone moves outside, where Jax says to Nikolas. "Courtney is my wife. She's pregnant with my child. Butt out."
Emily approaches Jason's room and who should be there, on another day-long break from Rose Lawn, but Carly. She is complaining to Jason that Emily and Sonny are in love. Emily enters. "Go ahead," Carly insists, "tell your brother that you're in love with Sonny." Lainey walks in. "Carly, it's time to go back to Rose Lawn," she says, as if she has any control over her patient. Once they're gone, Emily informs Jason that she's left Sonny's. "You were right," she admits. "I could fall in love with Sonny. In fact, I think I had already started. But Sonny doesn't need me, and I don't need him. Nikolas was always there to save me. Sonny and I were really there for each other." "He won't change," Jason advises her. "There is just no way you won't get hurt. Please, Emily, walk away from him."
When Manny is returned to the hospital, Lucky spots Elizabeth, who isn't supposed to be there, and he's upset. "I was called back in," she explains. "I don't want you here with Manny in the hospital," Lucky says. "It's too dangerous." Elizabeth shakes her head. "I don't complain about your job," she points out. "Don't complain about mine." Dillon was slightly wounded in the Manny shootout, so she fixes him up while Georgie stays by his side. "You should be grateful to Diego," Georgie tells her boyfriend. "He saved our lives." "We're in the hospital because of him," Dillon snaps. "I can't believe you're still siding with him." "I can't believe you could have so little compassion," she scolds him. Carly phones Graystone and learns that Emily is gone. She of course heads right to GH to find out from Sonny if it's true. It is. "So you were falling in love with her," Carly concludes. He pushes her into the chapel. "What isn't there to love?" he asks. "She's compassionate. She doesn't lie to my face every time I turn around." Emily is listening to the whole thing. "You need a hobby, Carly," Sonny continues. "Take up knitting. And get back to Rose Lawn." By the time he exits, Emily has left, but Carly and Lainey see her as they get into the elevator. Lainey steps off. "Deal with a real problem with a real person," she counsels Carly. "I thought you were supposed to be over Sonny," Emily challenges her. Carly pulls the emergency stop on the elevator.
