Kate returns from Paris and drops in on Sonny while he's with Karpov. She's sporting lighter, shorter hair and she looks darling! Karpov pretends he's a coffee person. After Kate leaves, Sonny yells at Max for letting Kate in, as if he could have stopped her without resorting to assault. Mike Corbin shows up later. He states he's very happy about Sonny and Kate and Sonny leaving the mob. Sonny wants Dad in the wedding.
Spinelli is extremely upset over the Karpov-Sonny situation and ends up telling Maxie about it. We now have a straight line to Kate.
Elizabeth visits Nikolas at the free clinic. Sam and Lucky hide nearby and eavesdrop. Elizabeth is terribly concerned about Lucky - he has no one to talk to at this point, since he's broken up with Elizabeth. Nikolas promises to do what he can. Elizabeth plans a picnic and invites Lucky to the park. Before he arrives, Jason walks by. It's very awkward. Monica comes along - crowded park that day -and comments how adorable they all look together. Jason beats a hasty retreat, and Monica tells Elizabeth that Jason still loves her, and she wishes they could be together. "Not in this lifetime," Elizabeth says in a near-whisper. Monica so hoped for grandchildren and is heartbroken about Michael. Of course, the poor woman is staring at a grandchild at that moment and doesn't even know it.
Back at the clinic, Nadine is furious with Lucky. This gal is in the wrong profession. She wants to be an undercover cop. Nikolas stops her from breaking into Mac's while Matt is gone so she can snoop around.
Sam goes through Karpov's paperwork, and guess who walks in on her - none but her possible stepdad, Jerry!
Lulu and Johnny discuss the problem of Lourdes, Fatal Attractionid in the making. Johnny wants to play along, but Lulu asks what's going to happen when Lourdes wants more? She'll take her revenge by calling the cops. Johnny is so happy hiding out at the professor's. He's also one sandwich short of a picnic if he thinks they shouldn't get out of there like now. Johnny hugs her, and Lulu sees a bloodied Logan with a butcher knife in his body.
Kate and Sonny have dinner together. When they arrive back at Sonny's, Jason is sitting on the couch. "What's going on between you and Karpov?" he wants to know.
