After Sam is shot, Lucky goes to her, anxious to take her to General Hospital. Sam refuses. She just wants to go home, which they do. Lucky calls Elizabeth and asks her to come over. Once there and taking care of Sam, Elizabeth sees that Lucky and Sam staged their breakup.
Kate, not known for her timing, interrupts Jason and Sonny in the middle of their heavy conversation. She makes the assumption that Sonny must have gone back to the mob. She's furious - there go the wedding plans, including one of those bouquets and the two wedding gowns. Jason leaves and has a meeting with Bernie. Bernie wants Jason to take action against Karpov, or Karpov will move on Jason. Sonny, meanwhile, tells Kate about his resentment of Jason for helping Carly take his children from him.
That conversation doesn't get finished either, because now it's Sasha's turn to interrupt. Sonny wants nothing to do with her, though Sasha leaves a business card behind. Kate, of course, thiks that Sasha is interested in business of another kind.
Karpov is exploring a little romance himself, with Carly. He invites her on a boat ride, and then notices she's lost that glint in her eye. Carly never lets on and begs off. She pretends she can walk even though she has a bad ankle and goes to see Jax bearing a basket of delectable gifts. Yeah, like that's going to bring him home. Jax can see that she did hurt her ankle. He tries to be solicitous; Carly says that he knows where she is when he's ready to reconcile.
When Sasha returns to Karpov, he informs her that he knows where the leak about his latest drug shipment came from. Jason at that moment has Karpov targeted through the sightline of a rifle. He's just about to squeeze the trigger when who should run to daddy but Karpov's daughter.
Johnny becomes a victim of police brutality when he's arrested at Shadybrook. Claudia and Nikolas come in on the scene of Johnny being beaten after the cops knock him to the floor. He's taken to the police station, where Anthony and Trevor head, followed by Claudia. Let's hope Johnny is allowed to use the visitor's room as often as Jason. Scott is doing his usual harangue, so Claudia slaps him but good.
Lulu is sedated, and Nikolas and Lainey sit with her. Lainey doesn't sound too hopeful, which upsets Nikolas.
