Maxie tells Johnny to get a job so there won't be a "repeat of last night" - this last part just as Lulu walks in and demands to know what they're talking about. Johnny has no time for it - he has to leave to find a job. Maxie looks guilty. Maxie explains that she and Johnny ran into each other in the dark, end of story, and advises her roomie that if she wants to drive Johnny away, acting insecure is the way to do it.Maxie and Johnny are awkward/agitated with each other after last night's shirtless run-in. Lulu suspects something is up, but of course she figures Johnny is totally innocent but Maxie is "guilty as sin." Johnny calls - he got a job.
Luke appears from behind a corner at GH and signals Epiphany. He needs her to admit him to the cardiac unit with a heart attack. He uses the fact that Tracy, as a board member, has been so miserable to everyone at the hospital, promising she'll mellow out when she and Luke are back together. Back at the Q mansion, Monica is at home after a day at the hospital. Tracy tries to find out if Luke has been admitted.
Lulu rushes to the hospital to see Luke. He promises her he's faking and asks her to tell Tracy how scared she is. Lulu suggests that he just be straight with her. Tracy arrives as Lulu leaves. Luke swears that he loves her. For how long, Tracy wonders? Until Laura returns? Monica walks in and throws Tracy out. "I've seen your tests," she announces. "They're very dire."
Nik helps Nadine prepare for Aunt Raylene's funeral. Nadine is giving the eulogy, and she's a wreck. After the service, where Nadine acquitted herself well, Raylene's attorney gives the family a DVD to play. It's Nadine's will. Bo gets the farm and a million dollars, Vance gets two million dollars, Nadine's sister Jolene gets a $3 million trust to take care of her, and Nadine gets an envelope. Nikolas objects. Strenuously.
Robin and Patrick have fallen asleep on the couch while Emma sleeps. When they wake up, they realize that Emma has been asleep for four hours. Robin is very excited about this and the fact that it's Emma's first Christmas. She wants to go out and get a tree. Maxie arrives to take them to a cake tasting. Robin tells her that they're not ready for Christmas and the wedding is in her hands totally.
Claudia sees Johnny at the Christmas tree lot - working. Yes, Johnny Zacchara is selling Christmas trees. The two of them argue - obviously, Claudia says, she didn't marry Sonny so Johnny could go to work doing manual labor. She did it for him, for his birthright. he reiterates that he doesn't want it, and he thinks she's an idiot for marrying Sonny.
Alexis, showing lots of cleavage today, visits Sonny. She's upset about all of the violence in Port Charles and feels partly responsible. She's horrified by his marriage to Claudia - at one time, she actually thought of him as a "good mobster." She can no longer protect him, she says, because the city is in bad shape and has to be cleaned up.
Kate doesn't like her Christmas tree, so Maxie and Lulu go to the Christmas tree place. Lulu's in a hurry - she wants to go and see Johnny. She's in for a surprise - she doesn't have to go far, AND she can pick out the tree at the same time!
The look on Luke's face is priceless as Monica informs him that he needs quadruple bypass immediately. His tests are awful. Tracy opens her mouth, and Monica says something about there not being time for goodbyes. "GOODBYES?" Luke screams. Monica orders Leyla to prep Luke for surgery. Luke cries, "Oh, my God!"
