Carly can tell that Jax was amused by her showing up to Kate's party in the same dress as the hostess wore, so she decides this is a good time to try and get him back - again. Jax, however, says that he can't do the back and forth thing with her and removes his wedding ring. He says that it's really over.
Claudia isn't winning any points with her new husband with her unkind attitude about Olivia. Sonny wants Olivia to stay as long as she needs to, and he makes sure that Patrick has everything he needs to help her. Compassion, Claudia, graciousness, have you ever heard those words?
Elizabeth is overcome with gratitude to both Sam and Jason for bringing Jake back home. Jason says Sam should have the credit; Sam says that Jason should.
Robin arrives at the Scorpio residence with Emma in her baby carriage to see what has Uncle Mac so upset. He tells her about Maxie, and Robin laughs, mainly because Mac should have known better. She likes Spinelli and says that he would take a bullet for Maxie. That's just what Mac is afraid of - he might have to.
Maxie thinks moving out is a good idea, and well worth it to have Spinelli in her life. Spinelli offers the penthouse, but she says no. She also mentions that after that big rescue, Jason and Sam should be really going at it about now. Spinelli doesn't look happy.
Lucky, meanwhile, is thrilled that Sam is okay. He is critical of Jason's plan to get Jake back, but he's grateful for the result. He asks Jason to drive Sam home as he needs time with his family. Really. Sam needs to rethink this relationship, sorry.
Mac calms down and of course wants Maxie to stay, but she's ready to go. She tells him that for once, he'll have the place to himself. Mac isn't sure that's a good thing. Maxie says that she loves him and that he's been very good to her. Mac says that he wants her to grab the world by the horns and have that fashion career she wants.
Sonny wants to bring his mob doctor over to look at Olivia, but Patrick objects. She's his patient, and he doesn't want anyone else caring for her. Sonny asks if he should call Dante and fill him in; obviously, Olivia doesn't want that, or she would have gone to the hospital. Patrick, who knows Dante's identity, says it's Olivia's decision in the end. Sonny agrees. After Patrick leaves, Claudia complains about Olivia again, mainly because she thinks Olivia is after Sonny. Sonny reminds her - this is a marriage of convenience. He is not after Olivia; he is not free to love anyone because he's in love with Kate. That should take Claudia down a peg or two. She promises not to criticize Kate if Sonny will stop throwing Kate in her face. Just then, Olivia walks downstairs, unable to sleep. Sonny promises to get the Russians who hurt her, but Olivia doesn't want that.
A defeated Carly goes home and talks to Michael's photo. Part of her heart, she says, will always belong to Sonny. She couldn't lie to Jax about it - which she considers a very mature thing.
Jason tells Sam that he will never put Jake in danger again. He drops her off and thanks her. Sam says she owed Jake, and also Elizabeth and Jason. Jason assures her that the debt has been paid.
Lucky and Elizabeth read a story to Cameron and Jake. As they are doing this and reveling in being together, Jason sits in his car alone, a pained look on his face and tears in his eyes.
