Johnny holds a gun to Lulu's neck and tries to leave the police station. Harper is about to shoot when Jason stops him; Johnny and Lulu make it outin time to hijack the arriving mayor's car. Good move. Panicked, Lulu intends to call the police and confess; Johnny tosses her cell phone out of the car.
Claudia gives Sonny a warning about the Russian mobster Karpov, hinting that perhaps he wants back in the business - and this isn't the right route to take. "Why do you care?" he asks. She answers that he was kind to her recently, and she feels she owes this advice to him. At that moment, Harper phones her to say that Johnny has escaped with Lulu; he insists that she come to PCPD at once.
Johnny and Lulu eventually dump the car and arrive in New York. Lulu is unable to shake what's happened and believes that she is the cause. "As long as we're together, we can get through anything," he promises her. It's very difficult to calm Lulu, but her terror subsides somewhat; Johnny takes her to a building that he owns, now empty.
Harper believes that Jason brought in the gun for Johnny and helped him escape further by not letting Harper get off a shot. Jason states that he was afraid of Lulu being wounded.
Maxie runs to the comfort of Spinelli's arms, scared that Lulu was such a wreck that she would tell the truth. She breaks away from him and apologizes for using him. "I don't feel used," he insists. Mac calls Maxie about the asks and wants her at PCPD.
Carly and Jax argue about Kate as usual, Jax insisting that he loves his wife and is not interested in the fashionista. He wants a return on his investment, though, and he plans on seeing Kate on business in the future. He further swears that he will have no social dealings wit her if it upsets Carly. She accepts this and promises not to get in his way.
Kate, meanwhile, has some plans of her own regarding Carly. She doesn't plan on taking any more interference from her. Clarice, her assistant, phones Jax and informs him that an important meeting was in progress that he is missing. When he claims ignorance, she says that she spoke to Carly about it twice. Not true, of course. Jax runs from the house after yelling at Carly about deliberately not giving him the message. Once at the Crimson offices, he's able to close a deal with Roger Canfield. Carly appears at Crimson after Roger leaves and claims that Clarice is lying. Clarice has a phone log, so she lies again, and Kate swears to it. Jax doesn't seem to believe Carly. Both of them leave the office. "He can do better than Carly," Kate tells Clarice. Kate phones Sonny and asks to see him that evening, as she is leaving for Paris, but he can't make it until later. He then telephones Karpov for a meeting.
Nadine reports to Nikolas that Matt has asked her out, and she wants to find out what she can about the counterfeit drugs. Nikolas doesn't like the idea because of the danger involved. Nikolas has more to say, but Lucky calls him about Lulu's escape, and Nikolas leaves GH in a hurry.
At the PCPD, Lucky attempts to learn Johnny's whereabouts from Jason, who says that he doesn't know. Lucky is disgusted, stating that Jason doesn't care about Lulu and her safety. Diane walks in at that moment, and Lucky has to give her time with her client. Jason tells Diane that he yanked Harper out of the way for Lulu's protection. "The police will say you did it to encourage mob peace," she says.
Maxie and Spinelli rush into the station. "Why did you visit Johnny?" her father asks. "I didn't believe he killed Logan," she answers. She adds, "He loves Lulu, and he would never hurt her." Mac allows them both to leave, though the mayor objects. Returning to Jason's, Spinelli and Maxie realize that Lulu brought in the gun for Johnny's escape. Maxie is terrified of Lulu becoming like Laura if anything happens to Johnny.
At PCPD, Lucky has a different theory, telling Nikolas that he believes Jason brought Johnny the gun. Diane meawhile tells Jason he has to stay in jail at least one night for obstructing a police officer.
PCPD is one busy place. Claudia now arrives. She blames Lulu for the gun. She also threatens a lawsuit if Johnny is hurt in any way. Mac points out that Johnny is considered armed and dangerous. "If you hear from your brother, tell him to surrender," he advises her.
Matt and Nadine have dinner in a Russian restaurant, where Sonny also goes for his meeting with Karpov. Apparently this is the new hot place in town. Sonny proposes serving as an advisor to Karpov about trade routes and PC law enforcement, but he won't act as Karpov's representative in any way - and adds that Karpov needs to leave Jason and his business alone.
Sitting in the interrogation room, Jason greets Cody, his fellow community service worker at GH. Cody's lawyer happens to be Diane as well. He has come to tell Jason about Karpov's presence in Port Charles and offers to watch him for Jason. Jason is grateful.
Lucky is concerned about Lulu, having seeing the scared look on her face when Johnny took her out of PCPD. "I'm not surprised. They've taken a huge risk," Nikolas says. "Do you think Lulu was in on the escape?" Lucky asks. "It's the only thing that makes sense," Nikolas answers, but Lucky is doubtful. Nikolas reminds him that the situation matched Lulu's impulsive behavior, and asked him how man times their mother had helped Luke. Point taken.
Maxie and Spinelli are discussing the situation of Lulu and Johnny when Claudia arrives at Jason's begging Spinelli to help her find her brother.
Carly finds that apologizing to Jax isn't doing much of anything. He doesn't seem to care. He announces that he's moving into the hotel for the time being, that he couldn't stand arguing all the time. "I don't want to forget what I love about you," he says. Carly swears up and down that she did not lie about the meeting, that it was Kate's doing. She tells him that she refuses to give up on their marriage.
