I've Got a Secret - Recap for July 28, 2008

Scott refuses to rescind the reward offer to find Johnny and Lulu. Nikolas and Lucky argue that they fear it will put Lulu in more danger. Scott couldn't care less. "She might as well have stuck the knife in Logan herself," he says. Lucky points out that Logan was erratic and violent shortly before his death. Scott shrugs. "That's no different from the way Luke was when he was courting Laura," he says. The brothers believe that Scott is reliving the Luke and Laura scenario and taking his feelings out on Lulu and Johnny.

Sitting in Sal's apartment, Lourdes is stunned by what she sees on TV - a huge reward offer for the two people living upstairs. She yells for Sal. Then she hears the announcer say that Johnny's last name is Zacchara. She doesn't say anything to Sal about the new neighbors.

Johnny and Lulu are enjoying a romantic interlude when Lulu, haunted by memories of killing Logan, breaks away. She only tells Johnny that from listening to her parents, being on the run seemed glamorous, but it really isn't. Johnny pulls her over the piano to snap her out of her depression. It works; soon they're laughing. Lourdes suddenly appears for another piano lesson. Johnny agrees, though Lulu isn't happy about it. Lourdes grills Johnny about his past.

Hearing the piano, Sal joins them. He's fine with Lourdes wanting to study, but he can only afford one lesson a week. "If the Zaccharas hadn't killed my father, we could afford it," she says. Sal tells Johnny and Lulu that Lourdes' father was killed when he refused to pay protection for his diner to the Zaccharas. Johnny mutters how sorry he is; Sal says that he hopes all of the Zaccharas are wiped off the face of the earth. If there were ever a time to run, this is it.

Sonny drops in to see Jason at PCPD. He has a few things to say about the way Jason is running the business. "Do you want to take the business back?" Jason asks. "I've spent more than one night in jail before without hurting the business. Bernie is keeping me informed." The Zaccharas, he says, are out of the picture for now. Angrily, Sonny states that Jason partnered with Carly and took his children away out of revenge, that Jason blames him for what happened to Michael. Sonny feels he has lost more in his life than Jason has - a self-absorbed statement if there ever was one. He leaves PCPD abruptly.

Diane manages to gain Jason's release, to Mac's disgust. Jason asks Diane if Sonny has mentioned business rivals besides the Zacchara family. Diane says nothing, citing attorney/client privilege.

At Claudia's, Ric and Claudia discuss Johnny's situation. Ric thinks he can put the victim on trial and have Johnny be found not guilty due to self-defense. However, he is unable to promise Claudia anything. "You knew that Logan was violent, and you hired him as my father's caretaker anyway," Claudia reminds him. "My father will kill you for that. At least the heat will be off of me for a while." "Go ahead and tell you father," Ric says. "If you do, there goes your one chance to see your brother go free." Claudia realizes that she doesn't have a choice. In turn, Ric wants an ally in Anthony's camp. "I don't have much leverage with my father, but I'll do what I can," she says. She extends her hand, but Ric doesn't seem interested in just her hand. She's surprised. "You want to sleep with me?" she asks. "Okay. The day you get all of the charges against Johnny dismissed, I'll sleep with you." Big sacrifice. He's so unappealing!

There's a knock at the door - it's Jason. Seeing Ric, he turns to leave, stating that he can't trust Ric. "He doesn't know anything about loyalty," Jason says. "Oh, do you think Sonny does?" Ric asks. "Then why is working with one of your rivals, Karpov?"

A desperate Carly turns on the sex appeal and loses the toughness to get Jax back as they sit on his plane. He doesn't believe that sex is the panacea for what ails their marriage. "I just need some time to think," he says. He isn't buying her act, but he has sex with her anyway. Then she informs him that he won't make his meeting because she asked the pilot to keep circling. Jax orders Carly to fasten her seatbelt. He's dons a parachute - he doesn't want her to get sucked out because of the air pressure change when he jumps. Carly can't believe what she's seeing.

Back at GH, Patrick and Matt argue over a patient's care. Matt wants to operate; Patrick wants to wait and watch. Patrick wins.

Robin wants Anna to attend the Eli Love concert, but Anna remains hurt and angry over his treatment of her. Robin's view is that Anna should go and show Eli what he's missing. Anna refuses. Robin prevails on Noah to intercede. Noah pages Anna and tries to convince her that the concert is a good idea. Anna states that she'd rather have dinner with him and talk than watch Eli. "I would love to do that," Noah admits. "But I don't want you to use me to hide from Eli Love."

Epiphany, who heard the entire argument between Matt and Patrick, presents Matt a report showing that the patient they discussed would not need surgery. When Matt says something derogatory about Dr. Drake, Epiphany suggests that he work with the staff and not against them. "Some of them were patching up people while you were still skinning your knees," she says. Matt has no comeback.

Sam fakes an arm injury and meets Lucky at the clinic. Nadine directs her to a treatment room, and Lucky is waiting. She says that a man named Karpov may hire her. Lucky wants to investigate Karpov and advises Sam not to accept the job yet. She doesn't want to wait. "This is the only way to stop the counterfeit drugs," she says. Nikolas enters and agrees with Lucky. Sam, however, believes she can gather evidence that will put an end to the counterfeit drugs. Nikolas leaves. Sam tells Lucky that this mission has given her a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning. She believes in her ability to do the job without getting into a bad situation.

Sonny opens a gift of vodka from Karpov. He gives two bottles to Max, telling him that it's a bribe to keep his mouth shut to Jason. He tells Max his feelings about Jason, that things haven't been the same since Michael was shot. Jason blames him.
