Jax sees Carly at the MetroCourt and tells her that he read about Sonny in the paper, and that he realizes she was telling him the truth about Sonny being at the house. Carly has had it as far as Jax's changing feelings. He asks if she loves him, and she says yes. Can she put him before Sonny? Of course she can - but is he asking her not to help Sonny if he's in trouble? Carly isn't sure she can do that.
While searching for info on the Gibraltor, Jason receives a call from Elizabeth telling him that Robin has stabilized, and can he meet her at her studio? Jason says that he has to work. Back on the ship, Jerry stops verbally torturing Sam to leave and make his final drug deal before blowing everything to kingdom come, and that includes Sam.
Spinelli runs smack into Jerry on the docks and tries to hold him there by doing kung fu he's seen in the movies - consisting of yelling, raising a leg, and striking the air. Jerry knocks him out and continues on his way. When Jason returns, he finds Spinelli on the ground, but with good news - he did get a tracking device into Jerry's pocket.
The Spencers and Nikolas all relax at Lesley's house. Lesley announces she's going to cook. There's a knock at the door, and a doctor from France is there looking for Laura. He wants her to come to the Institute in Paris for tests and further treatment. Laura isn't sure what to do, and each member of the family has a different opinion. Luke thinks they should savor the time they have and decide later.
Diane sees Carly and Olivia at the MetroCourt, and in a conversation filled with subtext, both Carly and Olivia realize that the other knows what Sonny did.
Sasha manages to visit Sonny in his office at the PCPD interrogation room. She's under orders to get him out of jail. That's the good news. She doesn't mention that the disembodied voice on the speaker phone wants Sonny and everyone connected with him killed.
Lulu is getting some air when she sees Johnny. The two embrace, and she takes him inside to meet the non-catatonic Laura. In fact, all of the kids bring their significant others over. Laura is very gracious to Johnny and to Nadine. Lucky enters with Elizabeth, and the two tell Laura, in this new era of not keeping anything from Mom, that Jake is Jason's son. Laura understands that Elizabeth felt that she had to protect her child.
Luke arrives at the Q mansion to tell Tracy that Laura is going to France alone and he's staying in Port Charles. She interprets this as being a "consolation prize" and isn't happy.
While Lucky and Elizabeth are catching up with Laura, she receives a call from the Institute in Paris. Laura put in a call to them after the doctor's visit to discuss the situation further. Well, guess what, they never sent a doctor. Laura isn't really too surprised. She immediately heads to the Quartermaine mansion to confront the casting director of the little scene, Tracy. Laura is steaming buts somehow manages to control herself. What Tracy did affected Laura's family, and that she deems unacceptable. Tracy suggests that Laura go to France anyway and "bow out gracefully."
Diane informs Sonny that she doubts Carly will give him an alibi. Carly, summoned by Mac, arrives at the police station and Jax comes in a few minutes later. He tells her that if she provides Sonny with an alibi, their marriage is over. Diane and Sonny leave the interrogation room and join Carly and Mac, with Jax standing nearby. Mac asks Carly if she can give Sonny an alibi. Hmmm....wonder what she'll say. Any guesses?
As a result of Spinelli's tracking device, Jason climbs onto the Gibraltor, finds Sam, and works on releasing her from the handcuffs. Jerry enters and attacks Jason. Sam fires a shot that misses; the two men continue to fight, during which one of the explosives is set. Sam gets out of the cuffs, and she and Jason run like hell. Jerry, however, gets stuck in some netting.
