Robin and Patrick both breathe a deep, elated sigh of relief when baby Emma starts crying. Kelly places the newborn, Emma Grace, in Robin's arms. However, Patrick discovers a nick in her ear, and fear rises that the baby was exposed to Robin's HIV. Kelly gives her a shot of AZT and tests her for the virus. I don't know why, since she'll have antibodies which won't disappear for a few months.
Jerry tells Jason that Sam works for Karpov, but Jason gets sick of him and pulls a gun on the man he calls "Mr. Craig." Later, Sam calls Jason and says that she has an uneasy feeling that someone has been in her place. Just then, Jerry grabs her from behind, leaving Jason yelling Sam's name into the phone. Carly helps Sonny to a back room and then runs to answer the door. It's Jax with reconciliation on his mind. You would know. He wants her to return to the hotel with him, which she can't do. She says she needs time alone and can they have dinner tomorrow. Meanwhile, Sonny is in the back listening to this and becoming even more ill. Once Jax is gone, Sonny encourages Carly to go to Jax. He doesn't want to stand in her way. She wants to call Jason to sit with Sonny, but he won't hear of it, nor will he got to the hospital. Carly decides that she should be with Jax.
Lulu appears dressed like a maid and lets Nikolas into Scott's hotel room. His ploy of "I locked myself out of my room" didn't fly with the maid. Lucky is with hotel security in an attempt to keep them from the room, but for some reason, this is one aggressive hotel. All three of them are caught, Lucky and Lulu given a free ride out of professional courtesy to Lucky. Nikolas, however, will face deportation. Without being convicted of anything? Where are these writers today?
The family plus Spinelli meet Emma, and there are smiles all around. Then Kelly gives everyone the wonderful news that by a soap opera miracle, Emma is HIV negative. Just then, Robin passes out.
Luke manages to roll Scott out of the car, though he wanted to leave him in there, remove Laura, and then the thing over the cliff. Laura's seatbelt is stuck. If Luke tries to get near Laura, the car tips. He reaches over to help Laura, and they both go over the cliff with the car. Both of them are relatively unharmed at the bottom, since the car slid down the hill. Luke's leg is pinned, but Laura frees it with a branch. He gets out of the car and stares at his angel, rhapsodizing over how beautiful she looks. She slaps him and asks him how he had the nerve to marry her when he was already married to Tracy. Lukey, you've got some splaining to do.
