Carly refuses to leave Sonny as he has a fever and he might have an infection. She calls a mob doctor who gives him antibiotics and wants someone with him 24/7. Carly makes Sonny soup and then gives him a sponge bath. Turns out it's her birthday, and Sonny remembers. They start talking about a birthday where Michael nearly melted the cake with all the candles. Jax happens by - why he came back is uncertain - and sees them through the window.
Jerry stays in the penthouse with Sam, waiting for Jason. He warns Sam that if she doesn't pretend everything is all right, he'll blow Jason's brains out. Sam uses their old relationship to get rid of Jason, telling him she thought he was starting to care again and it was too painful. Jason leaves. Sam tries to convince Jerry that she wants to be his partner, but Jerry laughs in her face. He then injects her with something that leaves her conscious but with not much ability to move. She does manage to drop the detonator on the floor, though. Jerry tells Sam he's taking her someplace, and it's going to be the last place she'll ever be.
Jason is on the phone back at the office when he sees blood on the desk. He returns to Sam's, but she's gone. He sees the detonatorr and takes off.
Panic ensues when Robin goes unconscious. Kelly has the baby removed and throws everyone out. Finally she's stabilized, but Patrick is a mess, as is Maxie, Anna and Mac. Matt does his best to comfort Patrick to keep going. Everyone takes turn sitting with Robin and talking to her. Maxie tells Robin that baby Emma won't understand how sick she was; she'll just know that her mother left. Maxie knows that pain, and demands that Robin not die.
Lulu gives the police a hard time about arresting and deporting Nikolas, mentioning that he was in prison and wasn't deported then. Both Lucky and Nikolas want to stuff a handkerchief in her mouth. The cop says that the post-9/11 world is a different place. Nikolas quietly asks if he can call his attorney. The police get a call, and it's obvious that Nikolas is not going to be arrested.
Tracy is raising hell at the hotel when a beaten up Scott is escorted into the hotel by the police. The cops say Luke and Laura fell over the cliff. Just then, Lulu, Lucky and Nikolas appear and want to know where Laura is. Scott says he can't remember anything. Lulu is furious with Scott, to the point that Nikolas grabs her and warns her to quiet down. Nikolas says he will pay for a private search.
