Laura isn't finished with Tracy. She informs Tracy that despite her illness, she's still Laura, and she can fight. Tracy scoffs at her, stating that the "legendary" love of Luke and Laura is in the past. Tracy is right for Luke now. Laura reminds Tracy of one thing: she and Luke are in love. As she leaves, a devastated Tracy breaks down.
Sam and Jason jump into the water; the ship explodes. It looks to them as if Jerry didn't make it.
Maxie and Elizabeth argue, during which time Elizabeth says she wants to warn Spinelli about what a witch Maxie is. Maxie runs to find Spinelli and what does she see but Sam and Jason, soaked to the skin. Spinelli shows her to the door and asks her to keep her mouth shut, adding that it's a criminal matter, not a romantic one.
Lulu visits Tracy and tells her that she's grateful for helping her dad through his recent difficulties with his heart, etc. She doesn't want Tracy to be hurt, and she knows that her father and Tracy love with another, but Lulu believes that Laura will always come first with him. Tracy puts on a brave front. Luke is a different man now, she says. She believes they will stay together.
Laura tells Luke that she doesn't want to give him up and neither does Tracy. Laura, however, knows that if she stayed and fought, she would win. However, Luke has changed, and she isn't sure that they should be together right now. Laura then meets with her children. She announces that she is going to France, where she will look into more treatment at the institute and hope for a permanent end to her illness.
Carly gave Sonny and alibi. Now he gets a piece of her mind. This alibi of his cost her Jax. Sonny thanks Carly, but he doesn't think she should fall in love with him again. If I were Carly, I'd need an alibi next - for murder.
Jax is called down to the harbor by the police, where he learns that a freighter belong to Jerry has exploded. Harper gives Jax a necklace that belonged to Jerry.
Laura talks with Lucky, Nikolas and Lulu separately before she leaves. Lucky mentions visiting her in France with his new girl, Sam. Odd. When did they reconcile? Laura and Nikolas discuss his difficulties in moving on since Sam, and Lulu talks about Johnny with her mother.
Maxie goes to General Hospital and, within earshot of Elizabeth, asks Epiphany for advice. What should she do for Spinelli? He's seen Jason and Sam soaking wet at the penthouse. Elizabeth leaves work and heads over to the penthouse to ask Jason what's going on.
Diane orders Sonny to play it cool with Carly - he needs her. Carly goes down to the docks and tries to talk to him about Jerry. He rebuffs her. He gets a call, but whoever it is hangs up. Jax believes it's his brother.
Luke and Laura say a final goodbye. Laura says that she's glad he's happy with Tracy. Maybe there's a future for the two of them again; right now, she doesn't know. Luke offers to go to France with her, but she refuses his offer. This is something she needs to do on her own. They kiss. Luke asks if she'll come back to Port Charles if the treatment works. Laura shrugs. Her future is uncertain. It's more uncertain than she realizes. As she sits on the plane and looks out the window, Scott enters the cabin.
