Need to See You: 'General Hospital' Recap for Wednesday, October 16, 2008

By Maria Ciaccia, About.com

Tracy walks into a Mexican bar, asks about Luke and is directed to a man face down on the table. Yeah, it's Luke. Tracy attempts to sober him up while telling him about how much his daughter needs him. It takes a while for the information to permeate all that liquor, but the words "Scott Baldwin" activate something in his brain. He says he will come back with Tracy. Minutes later, Luke collapses. Tracy gets him back up - they're on their way out the door when the police enter to arrest Luke.

At the MetroCourt, Nikolas and Carly meet again. Carly is suspicious of his motives in buying part of the MetroCourt. Nikolas states that he's never really worked, and meeting Nadine and wanting to impress her inspired him to have somewhere to go on a daily basis. Carly still hasn't made a decision. She's afraid that Nikolas is going to try to force her out of the hotel. Nikolas assures her that he doesn't want to take away her power; in fact, he'd like her to have more.

Jason and Spinelli go over Kate's shooting again, with Spinelli, against Jason's better judgment, playing detective. Why would Karpov wait so long to strike back at Sonny, and why hit Kate? And leaving the Russian bullet behind - he couldn't be that stupid. They eliminate Anthony. He can't walk. Right.

Spinelli goes to visit Lulu. Carly stops in for Jason's opinion on whether or not she should sell to Nikolas. Jason doesn't think that she should, not so much because of Nikolas but because it's a job she loves. Carly wants to prove to Jax that she can make her own decisions, but it's not a good enough reason.

Elizabeth calls Jason from her studio and asks him to meet her there. He's surprised when he arrives that she wants Jason to help her paint her studio. She wants to, in fact, hang out. This has all grown out of a conversation Elizabeth had with Nadine. She's realized that all she can really offer Jason is a place to hang out, to spend an afternoon and maybe an occasional evening. Jason takes off his jacket and starts painting. However, while moving a ladder, he falls.

Lulu has been getting a lot of sun at Shadybrook and has now developed some wonderful freckles. She needs to watch her weight, though, because Maxie again brings truffles. I swear she's trying to fatten up Lulu. Lulu asks if Maxie has seen Johnny. She's acting very strangelyAt Shadybrook, Maxie brings Lulu some perfume and magazines, but all Lulu wants to know is if Maxie has seen Johnny. Lulu's all creepy, not at all the feisty or even crying Lulu - rather, a quiet, kind of out of it Lulu. Spinelli arrives later and reads her a William Blake poem, "Tyger, tyger burning bright..." and all she can say is that it sounds like Johnny.

A worried Maxie drops in on Johnny but has to get through Anthony first. He's full of his beautiful roses; Maxie finally threatens to call Jason, but Johnny comes in. Maxie urges him to visit Lulu. He does go to Shadybrook, but after listening to a few minutes of Lulu's session with Lainey, he leaves. It was nice and private too - Lainey forgot to close the door all the way. After Lainey leaves, Lulu picks up a poetry book left by Spinelli, and a note falls out. "You killed Logan. You have to pay." Lulu, be smart, grab the note. Don't lose this one.

Spinelli and Maxie put their heads together later on about Lulu's condition. The first thing that panics them is that she seems to be appearing for appointments on time, and Lulu is never on time for anything.

Nikolas returns to Wyndemere to find Nadine there. He is glad to see her and says that the night they spent together was great. He didn't want to seem cavalier about it, but he was trying to make her comfortable. Nadine says she had hoped that their night of lovemaking would be the beginning of something. Nikolas assures her that he wants the same thing. They start kissing, and it looks like it's going all the way, when who should walk in - Carly. I guess she's just got a sixth sensea about this kind of thing.
