They say people in a coma or who are unconscious can hear everything. If that's the case, Kate is getting an earful. Olivia continually rants on Sonny. Then Jason brings Elizabeth into Kate's room so she could see what happens when you hang out wiht mobsters. Olivia let Jason have it for that, calling it disrespectful. Elizabeth has no comment.
Robin and Patrick speak with Sonny, both feeling terrible about what happened to Kate. Patrick wants to operate, but he's afraid the surgery would be too risky. However, both Olivia and Sonny know that Kate would not want to wear her designer clothes sitting in a wheelchair, so tricky or not, Patrick is asked to operate.
Patrick prepares Kate for surgery. She awakens briefly and [psays "Sonny has..." and drops into unconsciousness again.
Carly is grateful to Jax for taking care of her and Morgan by bringing them to the MetroCourt. She kisses him, but he breaks away, advising her that their marriage is still O-V-E-R.
Carly then calls Jason to discuss what happened. She's thinking that Sonny was the target, but no, Jason informs her that it was probably Kate. He also doesn't think that Karpov had anything to do with it. He says that Sonny wants revenge on Karpov anyway. Jason states that he isn't going to be a part of that. Carly is shocked.
Carly isn't the only one depressed around town. There's Johnn, drinking himself into a stupor after walking away from Lulu. Back at the Zacchara homestead, Anthony and Ric gang up on Claudia. they want her to represent the family with Sonny. She doesn't want to go. She goes.
Sonny tells Claudia that he knows the Zaccharas had nothing to do with the shooting. He's not happy to see Claudia.
After getting Nadine away from Karpov and company, Nikolas brings her back to Wyndemere. They start kissing, and then Nikolas decides to go for a ride on his horse. I wonder if it's Sheba. I'm sure Nadine doesn't care.
When he returns, Nadine has a few things to say. She asks what they're waiting for - she knows they both want each other. Nikolas reaches for her and FINALLY we see some good, old-fashioned, hot lovemaking - sort of. Our imaginations can fill in the rest.
