Over libations, Carly tells Olivia her history with Sonny. She shows Olivia a photo of Morgan and tells her new friend what happened to Michael. So Olivia and Carly have formed this best friend society, and Kate is out in the cold.
Sonny visits Kate, and he explains to her that he has to go after karpov, even if it means losing her. Kate is devastated. So Sonny's been looking for a reason to get back into the business all along. Gee, good thing Kate was shot. Of course, he adds that he loves her deeply. Talk is cheap, Sonny. Kate, as someone used to say, turn down the volume. Look - don't listen.
Sonny's next stop is for his ubiquitous argument with Jason. Jason believes that going after Karpov will be Sonny's death knell, but Sonny reminds him that if that happens, Jason can blame only himself. He's a weak leader who refuses to help a friend.
Maximus says goodbye to his boys. On the way home, he makes a stop at the Corinthos mansion. He advises Sonny not to try to hit Karpov and get his son hurt. He knows Max is a bodyguard; he's known it since five minutes after walking in. He thinks his son must be some special person for everyone to support him as he has. Maximus says goodbye and asks that Sonny not tell Max that his cover is blown.
]Sonny is grabbed by Karpov's men and taken to him.
Lucky reports in to Alexis about Johnny and says if Johnny gets into any more trouble with Jason, he will have to arrest him. Alexis asks if Lucky has spoken to Sam lately, but Lucky says no, and that he's sorry. Lucky heads down at the pier and breaks up Karpov's questioning of Sam. Karpov wants her to land a shipment for him, but he was making sure she was on the level. Sam couldn't tell what the contents were, she informs Lucky. Lucky wants her out now since Karpov seems suspicious. Sam refuses. She needs the PDA that Karpov handed Jerry.
Alexis has a team watching Karpov now, which Scott Baldwin isn't happy about. He orders her to pull them in and focus on Johnny. He believes (correctly for a change) that the Zaccharas were involved in Kate's shooting. Alexis doesn't pay any attention to him. Jerry stops by next, hoping for a romantic evening. Alexis interrupts him to call in a search warrant for Sam's place. Meanwhile, Sam phones Jerry to make a date.
At the Q mansion, Tracy declares that she's waiting for verification that she indeed has found Luke in Mexico, and then she's going after him. She wants her father to call in some favors and get the money laundering charges dropped against her husband. Edward doesn't want Luke back ever, but Tracy argues it will be good for Lulu. Monica thinks that's a riot. Tracy gets her confirmatory phone call and gets ready to leave for Mexico. However, she warns Edward that if Luke doesn't come back with no charges over his head, she won't have a problem telling people that Edward was Internet dating. So Luke will be coming home, it seems - free and clear.
