Family Matters: 'General Hospital' Recap for Monday, September 22, 2008

By Maria Ciaccia, About.com

Rick Springfield (Noah) and Jason Cook (Matt)

ABC/Adam Larkey
It's clear that Lucky and Nikolas think Lulu has really lost it, as they gaze at their comatose mother and Lulu trying to wake her up. Lainey goes ahead and looks at Laura's records, which state that the last time Laura woke up was in 2006.

Jerry accuses Sam of setting him up. So she has to kiss him. They're going at it, and then mercifully Jerry stops. He tells Sam that if she's on the level, she'll meet him in his hotel room. If not, he will assume this is a set up, which is what he's suspected all along. Sam turns the tables - if Jerry really wants to sleep with her, he'll leave Alexis.

Sonny and Olivia sit together at the bar in Bensonhurst. Olivia still calls Kate "Connie" and thinks she's a big fraud. Sonny and Olivia dated in high school, and he really wants her at the wedding to help Kate connect with her past. It really doesn't make sense. Sonny knows a) he has a history with Olivia, which will make Kate uncomfortable; and b) Kate and Olivia don't get along. If c) Sonny shares a secret with Olivia, why would he want her around? Olivia agrees to go.

Sonny wants Olivia there; Kate wants Jason. Jason says if Sonny wants him there, he should ask himself. Maxie has a go at Jason, too (she's going with Spinelli). Jason doesn't appear to be going at this moment. He turns his attention to trying to talk Carly into going on with her life after Jax.

Good luck, Jason, because Carly is still harping on the husband before Jax. She and Kate fight at the MetroCourt. Kate warns Carly to stay away from Sonny. Carly reminds Kate that she and Sonny aren't married yet.

At General Hospital, it's family feud time with Noah and Patrick having an argument over what's best for Matt. Supposedly he needs skin grafts. No one has said where, have they? Matt wants them out of his hospital room and life. Patrick tries to empathize with Matt. Matt doesn't have any plans of bonding with Patrick. Robin tells Matt about Patrick's childhood, and Matt sort of acts sympathetic. When Patrick comes back, Matt is less nasty. Patrick states that he will not walk away from his brother the way their dad did. Bad childhood or no, Matt still doesn't seem that interested.

Noah doesn't look too happy as he talks with Anna. Anna merely advises him to go to AA and stay sober. He does take her advice.
