Important Information - 'General Hospital' Recap for September 3, 2008

By Maria Ciaccia, About.com

Carly is thrilled when she comes downstairs in the morning and finds Jax in the house with Morgan. Jax has made breakfast. He shows her the plans for a house he wants to build for Lady Jane. Carly loves it. Jax then announces that it's to be their new home. He's ready to move back in, too. That won't last long. Jax wants Alexis to handle the dealings on the house, but she refuses. She believes that Carly will break his heart.

Spinelli feels the tension between Elizabeth and Jason and becomes morose about suggesting that Elizabeth contact Jason. Maxie breaks any tension by racing in; she's a wreck. She's been subpoenaed for Johnny's trial. She wants Jason to do something to Scott so she won't have to testify. Failing that, she wants Spinelli to create fake I.D. for her so she can leave town. Jason is very calm. He advises her to tell the truth and not give information she isn't asked for. Though Maxie is afraid of shooting off her mouth, she knows she's going to have to try to control herself unless she wants to be wearing an ill-fitting orange suit. This isn't All My Children, where Erica's orange jumpsuit was tailored to fit!

Elizabeth checks on Spinelli later and tells him that nothing that occurred with Jason is his fault. Spinelli wishes Stone Cold and The Maternal One could be together. Not looking good.

Having overheard Max and Diane talking about Sex in the Limo, Clarice desperately seeks a way to reach Kate. She should know the woman's cell phone number - and why not wait until she gets back? The wedding isn't happening on the island. Cody is no help. Diane meanwhile is attempting to convince Max that he has to tell Kate the truth about Sonny and Carly, but he refuses. Little do they know that Clarice is holding the info and is dying to release it.

Lulu hasn't had a vision of Logan all night, so she has decided she's cured. Seeing her mother in the sunroom, Lulu talks about what a new woman she is now. Laura is happy for her but advises caution. Lulu is excited that both of them will be leaving soon. Laura doesn't think in her case there's any hurry. She becomes very tired and goes to her room. Tracy shows up immediately afterward. Here's the thing - there were nurses in that area. If Laura is a figment of Lulu's imagination, wouldn't it be worth mentioning to Lulu's doctor that she was talking to no one? She was definitely seen in conversation. At any rate, Tracy is glad to see Lulu seem well. She tells Lulu she couldn't find Luke, though.

Johnny is suited up for jury selection. Anthony is there, followed by Claudia. She wants him to tell the truth. He won't. She says she has an errand to run and will see him in court.

In the courtroom, Scott and Ric go through the list of potential jurors. How in the name of all that is holy can Edward even be considered for this trial? He moans and groans about his health, the financial hardship etc. - all unnecessary in real life, since he should be disqualified. Of course he isn't. Epiphany is chosen for the jury, too, and she might just have a new beau named Ron. He's quite attentive. Or he might be Anthony's plant. He's got one on the jury.

So ridiculous. The judge announces it's a special circumstances case. Should Johnny be found guilty, he is eligible for the death penalty. Ric objects. However, Scott says that Logan was an undercover cop, so the death penalty is now attached. That's fine except a) I think normally the other side knows about it, too; and b) when you're choosing jurors on a death penalty case, you're supposed to ask if they could send a man to his death. You don't choose the jury first and then ask. Jeez. Of course, Logan wasn't an undercover cop but obviously Scott has faked a background for his son making him one.

Robin is angry that Anna went on the Internet to sing Patrick's praises and urging her daughter to marry him. Then she finds out that Patrick even has Coleman on the line. Robin, please, say yes.

Nadine is in seventh heaven after her night of dinner and dancing with Nikolas. He overhears her asking questions and invites her to ask him instead. He says he had a great time and wants to do it again. Nadine is thrilled. Let's hope it works out, because there are a few love matches going on that are headed down the drain. Fast.
