When Maxie is called to the stand, as she swears in, who has slipped into the courtroom wearing a suit but the ill Spinelli. What a guy. And I love the haircut. Scott of course trashes Maxie totally, revealing her deal with Logan of "sleep with Lulu, dump her and I'll sleep with you," as well as her having sex with Logan. She's humiliated, especially with Spinelli there. However, she keeps her cool.
At Shadybrook, Laura and Lulu argue the merits of Lulu confessing. Laura, of course, is against it and tries to convince Lulu that Johnny knows what he's doing. She leaves the little yard area just as Nikolas shows up to check Lulu out and take her to a clinic in Switzerland. Lulu flatly refuses. He leaves and Laura returns, admitting that she avoided Nikolas on purpose. She wants Lulu to take Nikolas' offer and leave. She asks her daughter what Johnny would want.
Nikolas goes to see Jason to ask for backup help to get Lulu out of the country, and Jason agrees. Nikolas then realizes that Jason has known all along that Lulu is the one who killed Logan. It's all for nothing - the cops pick up Lulu later that day so she can testify. Oh-oh.
In what has to be the longest storyline in history, Robin confesses to Elizabeth that after refusing to marry Patrick and after he's agreed to stop asking her, she's upset that he isn't asking her. Claudia is Patrick's patient; when she comes to, Ric is there. Claudia wants to leave the hospital so she can testify on her brother's behalf. In fact, when Patrick enters to check on her, she's putting on her shirt. She flirts with him; not only isn't he interested, he doesn't advise her leaving. Robin walks in while Claudia is making a big play for Patrick.
Lucky phones Sam to tell her that he has evidence against Jerry and Karpov. When Sam gets there and looks at it, it's not really evidence. It's a box sent from Karpov's ship to Mercy Hospital. You'd think a cop would know that. Meanwhile, they start kissing - in public as usual - and this time, Jerry catches them and wonders why they pretended to break up. So Sam and Lucky start fighting so it looks like he grabbed her and wouldn't take no for an answer. When Lucky leaves, she expresses her gratitude to Jerry. Later on, Sam indicates to Lucky that Jerry's "thing" for her will work well as she tries to get evidence. Lucky makes it clear that if investigating means investigating Jerry's body, it's not going to happen.
Jerry stops by the clinic looking for Nikolas and finds Nadine. He gives her the old story about the counterfeit drug shipment coming in and wanting to warn Nikolas so he'll tell Alexis what a great guy Jerry is. All the time, in his pocket, he's got that bomb ready to detonate when everyone he wants to get rid of are in the clinic. Yikes.
