With Sonny's gun at his head, Karpov swears to Sonny that he did not shoot Kate. Sonny is not inclined to believe him. Sasha and some of the mobster underlings appear, one of whom is a sharpshooter. It gets more crowded when Max, Maximus and Milo enter. Max convinces Sonny to back off. Back at Jason's, Sonny realizes that Max is pretending to be the boss. As grateful as he is for Max's levelheaded advice about not going after Karpov alone, Sonny says this is something he has to do for himself.
Carly tells Jason that she has been unable to talk sense into Sonny, so Jason pays him a visit. Sonny makes it clear that he has to get Karpov because Jason refused.
At GH, Olivia wears out the recovering Kate by harranguing on how Kate shouldn't be with Sonny. Finally Kate wonders aloud if the problem isn't really that if she stays with Sonny, Olivia is afraid that her secret will be revealed. After all, Kate is no longer comfortable keeping that secret.
Alexis shows Jerry the photos of Sam with Karpov. Jerry makes excuses for her - it may not be what it looks like, he says - but then he tells Alexis that he did see Sam on the docks looking for work, and she may have been talking to a man who resembled Karpov. Like there are so many of those. Alexis is now a wreck. She talks it over for Diane. Diane advises her to speak with Sam first.
Sam and Lucky are together when she gets a call to meet Karpov. When she arrives on the pier, she sees Jerry and Karpov together, so she stays out of the way. She is about to leave when one of the goons latches onto her and takes her to Karpov.
Lucky is on the docks also and speaks with Claudia about Johnny. Johnny has been busy channeling his grief by being reckless with his boat. Claudia claims that Johnny's not the guy on the boat. He's using the hooker route to deal with losing Lulu. Johnny overhears the whole thing and once Lucky's gone, he lets her have it. It will be on her, he says, if Lulu's condition worsens. Claudia turns the tables - if Johnny dies after crashing his boat into the rocks, it will be Lulu's fault.
