A.J. calls Skye; Jason kills the suspected guard; Sam swears that she did not take Kristina; Emily continues her denial; Luke returns to horrible news about Lucky.
Emily is full of self-blame over her rape as she talks to the comatose Lucky. "I need you to help me with Nikolas. You have to help me think of something, Lucky. Maybe I shouldn't tell Nikolas anything...It's one of those things you get through, you don't dwell on it." In the hall, she encounters Dr. Meadows and Elizabeth. Elizabeth encourages her friend to talk to Dr. Meadows. "I'm not hurt," Emily states. Dr. Meadows suggests a blood test. "For what?" Emily snaps. She lets her anger loose on Elizabeth. "I shot a man, I killed him, Helena took me hostage," Emily says. "Connor tried to kill me..." Skye walks into the hallway. "Hey, what's the problem?" she interrupts. Emily storms off. Skye offers to check on her. Elizabeth asks her brother about Lucky "He could stay this way indefinitely," Steven says. "At some point, a decision will have to be made. The stroke changed everything. His condition is bad." Elizabeth is horrified. "You can't be thinking of taking him off of life support." "He could be in this condition for the next 20 to 30 years - do you think that's what he wants? At some point, we'll need to sit down with his family and find out if they've ever discussed life support." "Don't even think about," Bobbie declares, walking into the hallway. She is upset that Steven again broke patient confidentiality by addressing this with Elizabeth. "Luke isn't going to give you permission," she informs Steven. "This is all too early. Lucky could recover. The family will not consider taking him off life support."
"Are you in charge of Lucky's case?" Tony Jones turns at the sound of his ex-brother-in-law's voice. He and Luke embrace. Tony gives him the bad news: "In my opinion, he is never going to regain consciousness." "You sound like Laura's doctor," Luke says. He has difficulty speaking. "She would never use words like hopeless, but that's what she meant. And that's what you mean." "I'm sorry," Tony says. "Well, how's that for symmetry?" Luke says. "The mother is catatonic, and the son is a vegetable. I wonder if Laura were capable of making a decision...would she want her son to go on like this? Not alive, not dead. Just existing."
Courtney learns from Carly that Sam was arrested when she visits her at Sonny's. "I guess you haven't seen the society page today," Courtney says. Carly picks up the paper and sees that Courtney and Jax are engaged. Carly spots the ring from several feet away and is plenty impressed, though not truly happy. Somehow, a woman has made her way into Sonny's house. When she hears Carly's voice, she hides. Courtney departs; Carly takes Michael outside, then returns with him to get a scarf. Sonny comes home and updates Carly on Sam's interrogation. As they discuss the case, the woman listens from her hiding place.
Skye finds Emily working on homework. Emily rebuffs her. Skye's cell rings. "So how's my favorite sister, who really isn't?" "A.J.?" Skye asks. "Guess you've heard about your ex and Courtney," A.J. says. "Leave that alone," Skye warns him. "I'm afraid that isn't possible," A.J. responds.
Emily apologizes to one of her professors for missing her assignment, but he assures her it's no problem. He gives her a treatment plan to write up for a female assault victim. Emily opens the folder. As she does, she flashes back on the rape. Steven walks by and touches her on the shoulder. "Don't touch me!" she yells. "Don't ever touch me."
Courtney dashes into the Metrocourt - Jax is unaware that Sam has been arrested. "We have to postpone the wedding," Courtney says. "No, we don't," Jax says. "Kristina will be home long before our wedding day. If the worst happens, we'll postpone." Skye pops in and asks for a moment with Courtney. "Brace yourself. A.J. called me with a message for you," Skye says. "You're still legally married to A.J. You have been all along."
"We'll do it the way we agreed. I'll call the number and leave town," Royal the guard says to someone else. After the person walks off, Royal feels a gun at his head. "Where's Kristina?" asks Jason. "You sabotaged the security system and let someone in the house." Jason grabs an envelope of money away from Royal. "I'll take you to her," Royal says. "But if they see you first, they're going to kill the kid." "Let's go," Jason says. Royal turns to lead Jason, but rapidly pivots and shoots. Jason gets off a shot first. He leans over Royal's body, "Who took her? Who took her?" Jason yells. "Sam," Royal whispers. "Step away from the body," Officer Murphy orders.
