A delivery makes both Robin and Patrick uncomfortable; Maxie opens a door for Georgie with Pete; Lucky sees his temptation up close; Liz confides in Father Mateo about Lucky and Jason; Sam asks Spinelli about making someone disappear; Sam might be pregnant; Dillon sees the light.
Robin is caught in an awkward position when a couch is delivered to Patricks that she ordered without consulting him. Lulu asks Dillon to create another distraction with his family so she can search Monicas room for a safe deposit box key, in hopes she hid the date book there. Dillon refuses to help explaining if he instigates another fight with his family he will lose his last shred of credibility with his grandfather. Lulu suggests he leave Edward out of the talk, when Edward enters. Dillon announces he needs to discuss how the family is doing business with Edward. Lucky finds Liz at the hospital where they discuss the developments in the Spencer kidnapping. When Lucky again thanks Liz for standing by him through the Maxie mess, she tells him she hopes he can now move on. He tells her he plans to do just that, then asks her out to dinner. Sam asks Jason if he can go upstairs with her, he agrees but first wants to know what is going on with her.
Patrick and the movers bring the couch in but it is clear Robin doesn't like where Patrick has placed the couch. She suggest he move it more toward the windows. After the movers leave she apologizes for purchasing the couch without telling him. He assures her it is fine but the moment is very awkward. Robin rushes off to work.
Lucky explains he feels he owes Liz at least dinner, and suggest a chic French restaurant. Liz is sure they cant get in but Lucky pulled some strings through Rodriguez for Friday night. Liz tells him she will have to see if her grandmother can watch Cameron then get back to him.
Jason isn't sure why Sam quit her job. Sam goes into her reasoning about Edward only hiring her to get to Jason or his child through her. Jason still seems doubtful of her story. Jason is sure something is going on but Sam assures him she is fine.
As the Quartermaines gather for the meeting, Edward corners Tracy about Sam quitting. He is sure if Jason isn't responsible then Tracy must be because Sam quit out of no where. Alan reminds him that Sam also quit the job at the hospital that he got for her, out of no where. As Dillon starts his meeting Lulu runs off to investigate. The family isn't taking Dillon seriously, so he announces he wants to take a vote on forcing Edward into retirement. Everyone is floored by this suggestion. Edward is sure Tracy put him up to it. In the ensuing argument, Tracy and Alan squabble over who Edward treated worse, and whos children are the golden ones. Then when Edward declares Dillon lied about his entire desire to work at ELQ, Dillon surprises everyone by announcing that he sold out to cynicism and despair but no more, he does indeed want to be a director.
At the hospital, Lainey runs into Robin and give her some mail from her mother. Lainey mentions that Robin is hardly ever at the loft anymore. Robin confides in Lainey that she bought a couch without telling Patrick, and was so worried after she did it, she kept it to herself until the couch arrived that morning. Robin is worried she has went from independent to a pushy girlfriend.
At Patricks, Pete arrives. Pete is appreciating the new apartment when he sees the couch. Pete loves the couch but is surprised to hear that Robin bought it. Pete quickly tells Patrick the couch will lead to Robin moving in, then setting a wedding date.
Lucky arrives at Kellys to meet Rodriguez for coffee while they wait out some information on a case. Georgie apologizes to Lucky for what Maxie did, but Lucky puts her at ease assuring her he knows she had nothing to do with it. When they are alone Lucky explains to Rodriguez what Maxie did about the pregnancy. Maxie arrives and Lucky quickly tells her to leave him alone.
While out walking, Liz runs into Jason on the bridge. They discuss the old bridge and how much they miss it, then reminisce about a night Jason taught her to box. Liz confides in Jason that she feels trapped in a situation she created. She knows she didn't get Lucky addicted to pills but her choices that she made surrounding that are her responsibility, such as turning to him, and not telling Lucky. And the ultimate choice of ending her marriage. Liz admit's she cant bring herself to tell Lucky the very thing that would help him let go of their marriage.
Robin is horrified when she thinks she has turned into Carly. Lainey assures her buying a couch doesn't mean she has plans to wed Patrick. Robin says she feels she is trying to love Patrick on her own terms which is why she found him an apartment, practically forced him to rent it, then filled it with her own things, and then bought him the couch. Lainey thinks Robin should cut herself some slack. Robin says she is the girlfriend from hell. Robin assures Lainey she is not moving in with Patrick.
Pete reminds Patrick of their sophomoric college vow to take each other to Vegas if they got too serious about a woman. Patrick assures Pete it is not that serious, but Pete points out Robin is now staying with him every night. Pete suggest the skip the apartment and just buy a house. Patrick makes it clear Robin is not planning on moving in. Pete isn't buying it though, he suggest if Patrick isn't ready to lose Robin or move in with her he needs to set some boundaries.
