Jake's is Filled with the Sound of Music and Angst
It's karaoke night at Jake's, and after Coleman makes the announcement, he asks for the first performer. There isn't one. Maxie thinks it's going to be Spinelli, but he stalls because of his broken pitch-correcting microphone. Coleman goes around the bar, soliciting performers. Maxie writes a Haiku to Spinelli, hoping to boost his confidence. Spinelli gets away and calls Jason - but just then Robin and Patrick are announced! Robin agreed to sing on the condition that Patrick sing with her. He finally acquiesced. The two perform "I've Had the Time of My Life" from "Dirty Dancing." Talk about needing pitch-correcting software! But they had fun, and so did the audience. Spinelli shouldn't be nervous about singing now!
[At the Spencer table, Lucky and Ethan eye each other warily, especially when Elizabeth offers up a toast that Nikolas finds happiness with Rebecca. Lucky and Ethan realize they have something in common - they don't like the idea. Just then, who should walk in but Rebecca and Nikolas. It's awkward. When Ethan hears Nikolas tell Elizabeth that Rebecca refused money he offered her, Ethan is seething. Ethan quietly demands to know what that's about from Rebecca, but the applause for the Drake-Scorpio team drowns him out.
Johnny Makes an Observation
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Olivia is planning a steamy evening with Johnny, only to have Dante overhear and tease her. She playfully hits him, right where he was shot, and he winces. She realizes that he's really hurt and asks what happened. Dante shrugs it off and leaves. At the laundromat, he meets a friend and says that he's getting close to working for Sonny. Dante indicates that Sonny is going to be blindsided when he takes him down.
While waiting for Johnny, Olivia looks at some old photos and remembers her past. Johnny arrives and looks at them, focusing on one in particular, recognizing Sonny. Olivia talks about her history with him, and Johnny comments that she doesn't seem to be over him.
Sonny Goes to the Port Charles Police Department
Upon hearing that Jason was arrested, Sonny goes to PCPD. It's there he learns that Alexis is having problems and that Diane thinks it will help if Jason stays in jail for a week. Sonny's not adverse to the idea. Jason doesn't look happy. Alexis enters; she and Sonny get into an argument. Finally, Sonny gets out of there. Diane informs Alexis of the plan. Alexis thanks her, but states that she can solve her own problems.
Just then, an assistant DA enters and announces that Alexis has been suspended (shouldn't that come from higher up?) and that it's her case now. Alexis goes into the main office to speak with Mac, and Diane lights into this woman. When Diane is finished, Jason is cut loose and the ADA crawls out of PCPD. Before Jason can leave, he receives a call from Anthony Zacchara, who wants to see him. I'm assuming Anthony is in a Federal prison and not a jail at PCPD.
Carly has a bad dream and wakes up with a sense of foreboding, which she relates to Jacks. They have sex just the same, and then talk about their new house. Jax has to meet with the contractors. After he departs, Carly phones Jason and learns he's in jail. She races over to Sonny's and asks what he intends to do.
Dominic/Dante Seeks Employment with Mr. Corinthos
Dante appears at Sonny's, just like everyone else, and asks for a job with the organization. Too bad for him that Carly is there and fingers him as the man in the woods. Sonny is shocked that Dante would have the nerve to come to his house and face certain death. Dante (Dominic to this crowd) argues that he didn't hurt Sonny's family. And this means what? He deserves a job?
