General Hospital Daily Recap for June 18, 2009

Sounds of a Summer Night

By Maria Ciaccia, About.com

A Date with an Angel Lookalike

Nikolas is all dressed up, and Rebecca appears in the dress he gave her, which looks for all the world like the dress Emily was wearing at the black and white ball. However, he claims to have called Wyndham's and described what he wanted. Okay.

Rebecca isn't sure why Nikolas changed his mind about her. Nikolas explains that he knows that she's not Emily, and he can appreciate what little of Emily he can see in her. He then uses the word "swagger" which nearly everybody on Twitter mentioned. It must mean something to the young set. Rebecca feels like she's in a fairytale, and she just wants to enjoy being in the beautiful dress and being with him. Nikolas invites her to dance. She declines because she can't dance, but he promises to teach her.

The Hit

At the garage, Johnny and Claudia argue - so what else is new - now it's about Claudia setting up a hit on Jason. It is stupid, granted. How, he asks her, is he supposed to walk away from a hit on Jason without a mark on him and have no one suspect her? Olivia walks in - Claudia turns her vicious mouth to Olivia. Johnny threatens to "withhold his support" if Claudia doesn't shut her mouth. Claudia leaves. Olivia invites Johnny over for dinner, but he declines, stating he's on special assignment for Sonny. Her tentacles go up.

Sonny sounds like he wants a real bloodbath at this meeting. He wants to make a "statement," he tells Jason. Jason is to make it clear that there will be no disloyalty tolerated - and he's to take out Johnny and anyone else if they're a threat.

Olivia drops in on Sonny. She accuses him of deliberately putting Johnny in harm's way because he saw them kissing. Sonny refuses to discuss business with her and comments that she has a pretty healthy ego. She counters that she knows all too well how his mind works, and asks him to please not send Johnny. Claudia enters, and the two go at it yet again. Olivia finally yells at Sonny that she doesn't know how long he's going to punish himself for Michael's injury and live in such a disgusting situation. She leaves, and Carly insists that Olivia never come there again. Sonny screams at her that he will never turn Olivia away from his house. He asks Claudia why he should listen to her -- he doesn't like her and doesn't trust her. "You want me," Claudia says, and the two start kissing passionately.

Jason and Johnny prepare for the meeting. Johnny asks Jason if he ever had a desire to quit the organization. Jason admits that he tried, but it didn't work. He is blunt - and detached - as he says that his job is to make people disappear, and for him, it's just a job. But he doesn't want innocent people to get hurt.

The two traipse through the woods, Johnny complaining the whole way - it's impossible to believe he has no understanding of sneaking up on a place the way he's acting. Does Jason have a flashlight, why didn't they use the highway, yada yada yada. Jason finally orders him to stop talking. Suddenly, Johnny sees the red dot of a laser aimed right at Jason's head.

Olivia returns to the garage just as Dante calls. He wants to come to Port Charles, but she tells him not to. They will see one another on Sunday. She also mentions how proud she is of him, and then has to reassure him that there's nothing wrong - can't she be proud of her own child? Lulu arrives looking for Johnny - she has a check from Crimson that she must deliver personally. She and Olivia have a halting conversation - halting, but friendly. Lulu doesn't want Olivia to think she came there to snoop, and Olivia states that if she did, it's okay. Johnny adores her, and he is very sorry for the way things ended.

At Jake’s, Kiefer wants to get out of the bar as fast as he can, and urges Kristina to get moving. Meanwhile, Michael is unconscious on the floor. Kristina refuses; she wants to help her brother. Kiefer gets down on his knees and yells Michael's name - as he leans forward, Michael surprises him with a punch. Kiefer runs out, and Michael announces to Kristina that that's the most fun he's had in over a year. Kristina wants him to get checked out at GH, but he says he's fine. The kid just had surgery for a head injury. What an idiot.

Alexis suddenly appears, and she's pretty upset, demanding to know what two underage kids are doing sitting in a bar. Kristina puts on the innocent act "I was just trying to help poor Michael feel better." Michael acts equally guileless and plays along. They both deny having alcohol. Alexis declares the entire situation indefensible. She calls Carly and informs her that Michael is at Jake's.

An angry Alexis brings Michael and Kristina to Carly's. She is nice about it, but until Michael's impulse control is conquered, she wants him to steer clear of Kristina unless they're supervised. She leaves with her daughter. Carly wants to know what went on. Michael is very flip with her, casually mumbling that he wanted to have fun, and there's nothing that she can do about it. Given the chance, he will do it again. She then asks what happened to his face, and he answers that he bumped it during therapy. She knows he's lying and that he was in a fight. Michael blows up at Carly and pushes her.

At that point, to round out the happy family picture, Jax and Morgan arrive home just as he's pushing his mother. In a rage, Jax jumps him as Carly screams for Jax to stop.
