A.J. again proves what a great guy he is; Jax becomes ill suddenly; Sam is worried about Jason; Skye is worried about Luke; Carly is worried about Sonny; Rachel is worried about A.J.
Carly and Alcazar talk outside of the house. She expresses concern about Sonny. "You're wondering what he's going to do now," Alcazar guesses. "No, Lorenzo," Carly answers, "I'm wondering what you would do if you were in his place, and your enemy had just shot your 9-year-old son." "There would be two options," Alcazar says. "I could give up this life, sever all ties to organized crime, deal with legitimate businesses, and hope my enemies and rivals believed the truth, that I was no threat to them." "How would that protect your children?" Carly asks. "The truth is," Alcazar says, "my family would always be at risk. Option two: Consolidate power, make a show of force, kill anyone who ever crossed me, including closest friends. Make myself so feared that no one would touch me." "Which one would you choose?" Carly asks. Lorenzo answers, "That would depend on the woman I loved. If I knew we could grieve together, I would try to get out of organized crime. If I was alone...I would show no mercy." "That's what Sonny is going to do," Carly realizes. "Michael was Sonny's heart."
"I knew it! You're still here!" Skye fumes at Luke on the Star. "Hey, Blaze," Luke greets her. "Sonny's after you!" she exclaims. "You don't say," Luke comments. "Do you want Sonny to kill you?" she asks. "I have a better question," he poses. "Why do you care? Why did you come back?" "I may have broken up with you. I don't want to see you dead," she says. "You matter to me. I need to know you're out there in the world causing trouble so I can tell myself that one day, maybe we'll cross paths. You're magic, Luke. You're larger than life. You showed me the most amazing time. Before you, I never knew I could live in a cardboard box or sing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle' in a bar. I'm still in love with you, Luke. If you ever cared about me, you will leave town before Sonny ends your life." "I can't make you any promises," he says. He pulls his packed bags out from under the bar. "You've been packed all this time - what have you been doing?" she asks. He smiles. "Waiting for you." Skye bursts into tears. "What if I never see you again?" "You will," he predicts. "You'll walk into a dive in Borneo and there I'll be, cheating at cards. Or you're stroll into a honky-tonk in New Orleans and I'll be pouring drinks, one eye on the door, waiting for you." He leaves, but not without taking her into his arms and giving her the kiss of all kisses. "Do a condemned man a favor and let me watch you walk away," he says. At the top of the stairs, she turns and faces him. "Till one night in Borneo," he says, blowing her a kiss.
"You're supposed to be dead," Michael says to A.J. "I'm fine, thanks to you," A.J. says. "You don't have to be afraid. I know you're confused. There's a lot I need to explain." "Where are my brother and sister?" Michael yells. "Don't go near that plane," A.J. warns him. "Morgan and Kristina are safe at home. When I heard you were missing, I rescued you from Faith. I did not kidnap you." Michael tells it like it is: "You're a jerk, a thief, and a liar." He runs away.
A.J. builds a fire. Michael eventually returns. "We have to rely on each other," A.J. says. "You saved my life." He has some food foraged from the wreckage, which he offers to his son. "I'll find my own food," Michael declares, approaching the fire. "I understand you don't trust me," A.J. tells him. "Sonny and Carly taught you that. Sonny isn't your real father, because he'll never be your biological father." A.J. claims to have called Sonny right after he saved the little boy from Faith. "Sonny has a son and daughter, and he is their biological father. He's had a chance to spend time with his real kids...I didn't want to do this...Sonny's busy. You're in trouble all the time. He gave you back to me." "My dad would never say that," Michael insists. "Sonny doesn't want you anymore," A.J. informs him.
