Epiphany reads the lab results and gives Ethan the good news and Luke the bad news - they're not related. Happy that he doesn't have to flee the country after all, Ethan leaves. Tracy mutters some words of comfort to Luke. Ethan heads over to Crimson to see Lulu. He suggests that she look in on her dad; he's had a rough week. Lulu accompanies him to the Haunted Star. She's very impressed with Ethan's affection for her dad, and she admits that he's not the jerk she believed him to be.
Tracy interrupts the lovefest and asks Ethan to go to the Quartermaine mansion on an errand. Luke's antennae immediately go up - if there's no possibility that Lulu is Ethan's half-sister, what's the problem now? When Tracy has left, Luke asks his daughter to act like she's crazy about Ethan when Tracy is around. Lulu is surprised; is Tracy jealous? No, Luke says, but he's looking for the truth about something, and Tracy can give it to him.
Carly is afraid that Jax and Sonny will make a decision about Michael based on her health, and she doesn't want that. As was to be expected, Carly wants the surgery immediately. Jason sides with her, but Sonny thinks Patrick is acting on ego and wants to wait for Dr. Hansen. Eventually, he comes around. In a sense, it's a dumb argument. What's the point of waiting anyway? Patrick has his team in place and has Michael prepped for surgery.
A concerned Sonny has a heart-to-heart with Claudia, unsure if he's doing the right thing. Claudia reiterates that it's Carly's choice. She later marches into the waiting area, where Carly and Jax are sitting along with Sonny. Sensing that Carly (not to mention Jax) is uncomfortable with her presence, Sonny encourages her to go home, but Claudia says she's staying put. When Michael is wheeled through the hallway, Jason spots her and growls that she has no business being around Michael, and she knows why.
Jax is concerned about Carly's choice, but like Sonny, goes over to her side after a time. Matt Hunter again advises his half-brother not to destroy his career by doing the surgery. He does agree to be on Patrick's team finally. The operation consists of putting electrodes on Michael's brain to stimulate it.
Rebecca gives Nikolas a killer backrub and even walks on his back. While doing that, she falls and knocks some paint over. She and Nikolas laugh. They finish painting, laughing all the way, and finish by making love.
Spinelli will take Crimson's case, but only if he is working for Lulu. He gets into the company computer, and is hard at work when Kate arrives, demanding to know what he's doing. Maxie hands her some tall tale, but it turns out that knows about the shoe layout being stolen. She really doesn't want Spinelli working on it - he's not a great communicator - but at any rate, Maxie had better figure out what happened, or she and Lulu are out of Crimson. Spinelli finds out that layout was uploaded to a computer in the copy room, so he decides to stake it out.
