Rumor has it that Sebastian Roche (Jerry Jacks) is being released from his General Hospital contract and is due to be killed off, possibly during an attack on Sam.
The present monetary crunch is also impacting ABC. Allegedly they are planning major cutbacks on General Hospital and other shows.
Several contracts are rumored to be unsigned or not being renewed: Nancy Lee Grahn may leave in February, Ingo Rademacher is only on extension and then may leave, and Maurice Benard has apparently still not signed his contract.
However, the present monetary crunch is affecting everyone, and that includes the actors as well as the networks. This is not the time to leave a job, so some decisions may be re-thought.
My advice to viewers is similar to what some stock market pundits are giving: Hang tough, and don't panic.

Never liked the Jerry character, so I wouldn’t miss him & would love to see him killed off!
I’m so tired of all the mobster story lines that I wish there would just be a big mob war and they all would die.
Since Jerry held everyone hostage at Metro Court, he doesn’t deserve to be walking and breathing the same air as humans. I won’t miss him at all.

I love the mob story line it’s exciting and no other soap has that…that’s what I love about GH. Jason is so cool and calm I love him being the boss Sonny is too hot headed and if it weren’t for Jason they all may have been killed a long time ago.
Jerry on the other had should have been gone I don’t know how the people in PC can stand to even talk to him after what he has done.

I like Jerry and even tho his storyline is abit crazy at times he is one person I would miss if he was gone! He has that certain wickedness that is enjoyable!

I seem to be in the minority in saying that Sebaastian Roche is almost the only reason I still have to watch this miserable show. I have really enjoyed him and Nancy Grahn together. They do shoot sparks, while the dragging, slow, self pitying, incapable Sonny is what has ruined GH in the last ten years. When Jerry and Alexis are gone, not even Luke appearing now and then will keep him watching. I have felt that ABC would like to be rid of all its soaps, and has gone out of the way to make this happen. They’ll put in more lousy talk shows which I don’t watch, and I guess I’ll watch the 24 hour news channels.
I think Sebastian Roche is one of and maybe the best of the actors in General Hospital He is used much too little and doesn’t have a chance to develop his part. As a matter of fact, it is a rotten part but he does a great job with it. I read all about him on the Internet and he sure has the background to play an important role. I have enjoyed him when he plays roles on Law and Order. Dolores Suisman
there is nothing better than jason & spinelli except for maxie now. jasons expressions are priceless. please tell me jason won’t leave. i love him he is GH. i love maxie i left days b/c she did i’d leave gh if jason leaves but i can’t now for maxie i do love robin & patrick finally getting married. still can’t stand carley she’s in everyones business that’s how she lost her son & husband. please get jason & liz together can’t stand this.
I too am sick of the mob storyline. I am especially sick of seeing Maurice(Sonny) overacting. He makes me wish he would get killed off! I used to like him – but can’t stand this side of him.
Get rid of the mob – and lets get back to adventures like Luke and Laura used to have.
