A 'Jasam' Reunion Not Sitting Well with Some Fans

The promise of a Jason and Sam reunion shown on the General Hospital promo for this week is not going over well with some fans.
To quote one of them:
I am literally breaking out into hives .... [about] the pending reunion of Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco). May the ratings fall lower than a hypoglycemic's blood sugar after eating two loaves of white bread in one sitting. Wake me when it's over.
Guess she's not happy about it. How does everyone else feel?

I can take it or leave it (Jasam).
Watching GH is like opening presents on Christmas morning… you anticipate the episode, then once it’s over and it’s a pair of socks, you toss it aside and wait for the next episode..and on and on it goes…
OK, so what happened to the dating abuse storyline? Like all the others, it’s tossed aside for something else before it’s concluded. Now that Michael and Kristina are on the run or are supposedly on the run until it gets dark and they come home for dinner.

It’s not believable. Jason forgives no one anything, except for himself, Carly, and Sonny, and Sam already knows this. He’s a hunk, but she’s not 16, she knows this. If Sam were a real person, she’d never get back with him. And what’s more, since Jason is constitutionally incapable of forgiveness, he’d never get back with Sam.
They work great as friends. I’d like a reverse Carly/Jason duo where it’s Sam keeping platonic, not Jason. I’d love to have him complain to Carly, too. And Carly, more curious than jealous (after all, Sam isn’t with Jason) asking, and Sam saying she already knows it won’t work and their friendship does. If Carly challenges her out of curiousity, Sam could use the Carly/Jason thing as her prime example of Jason being unable to forgive anything to anyone. “He loves you, you know,” Sam could say, “but if he can’t forgive you, believe me, he’ll never forgive me. He’s tired of being alone, but the minute I was available, the trouble would just start again. I will always be there for him as a friend. I’d take a bullet for him… oh, that’s right, I already did… well, I’d do it again. But that didn’t matter before, and it won’t matter now. Friends works for us, lovers doesn’t. I just want to go with what works.” I’d like to see Sam with an FBI agent.
I actually think the promo might be misleading. Some of them are. I don’t think Jason will really be with anyone until Steve Burton re-signs his contract.
I would be happt to see them back together if they would behave “steamier’ than they have in the past.
I think the whole plotline in general is improving overall.
I think the problem might lie in the lead in show of “One Life to Live”. I think people are tired of the “Stacey” character, hence changing channels before GH comes on.

The thought of a Jasam reunion makes me sick. It took Jason years to forgive Robin, when she told the truth about Michael. Michael is not Jason’s son. Jake is Jason’s son, Sam watched a woman, who she knew had mental issues walk away with the infant and said not a word. She then hired two men to point loaded guns at Elizabeth and both Cam and Jake. She slept with Ric her mother’s husband to hurt both Alexis and Jason.
She may feel bad about what she did now. But who is to say that if Jason upsets her again, she won’t take it out on Jake. So glad I have stoped watching this turkey!!!!!!!
I’m happy about Jason and Sam reuniting. They were great together, unlike liz and Jason. I’ve waited for this for along time. They have a kismet romance, and are alot alike.

I HATE the idea of a Jason/Sam reunion. The show has become so poor these last few months. Not that 2008 was great, but the storylines now make little sense. The characters motivations aren’t explained, history is being rewritten, and the plot lines are poor and repetitive. How many times has Carly fallen? How many times has Sam been in danger?
Jasam in particular makes no sense to me. Jason forgiving Sam is contrived storytelling at it’s best. Jason has become a joke of a character. I used to love Jason Morgan, now I can’t stand his hypocritical butt.
I think it’s great to have Sam and Jason get back together. I’m really happy that they have reconnected and have a rapport again. I’m looking forward to see where it goes………
Let’s not forget….YES Jason is not normally very forgiving. But who else besides Sam can accept Jason & his line of work??

So whether he is forgiving or not, if he has a chance for some companionship, should he go for it?? I think he should.
I’m fine with Jason and Sam as friends but I don’t think it would be realistic for them to get back together. They said and did too many hurtful things to one another for them to be a couple again. In my opinion they work as friends but that’s it. Further, I think Sam and Lucky both would only be fooling themselves to get back together with Jason or Elizabeth. Jason and Elizabeth proved to each other and their former significant others that they were in love and soul mates. As a viewer I no longer buy Liz and Lucky or Jason and Sam. The only way I can see Jason or Elizabeth w/o each other would be for one of them to be with a completely new character or someone else on the canvas they have not been with. At least in that scenario it may be more believable to see one of them with a new love rather than a love they threw away because they weren’t in love anymore. They all cheated, lied, deceived, and hurt one another. I know it’s a soap and we need to suspend reality and rationale as viewers but I think those horses were beat to death. I would also love Sam to get back with Lucky as Lucky and Liz are completely boring while Sam and Lucky were so steamy and sexy. I would love for Liz to be with a new guy and to have a new story. In the end it would be amazing to see Jason in a triangle with Liz and Sam (a la Brenda, Sonny, Jax) but that cannot happen until Jason decides to be a father to his son. I also wouldn’t mind a triangle of Liz, Jason, and a new guy…maybe even Dominic (although I sense something is going to happen between him and Maxie).
I would like to know when Jason will realize that he’s no more a danger to his son than he is to Michael, Morgan, and Kristina and he has no problem being hands on in their lives. Jason becomes more and more a hypocrite each and every day and it’s starting to make me sick. His holier than thou attitude has got to go. I cannot stand that Jason’s excuse for shielding Michael from the car accident was because he can’t handle the truth. Not only that but after the accident (where Michael was admittedly reckless driving) Jason left the car for him in the driveway.
I know I’ve gone off on a tangent, but Jason’s attitude and reactions to Michael’s actions have been driving me crazy for weeks now. Michael needs a smack across the face but all of the adults in his life are allowing him to walk around with that nasty, disrespectful mouth instead. He is playing all of them by raising his voice every time he wants to get his way. While I love the recast I think Michael is acting more like a petulant toddler rather than someone I sympathize with. I get that he has brain damage but what are his parents and doctors doing to remedy that? So far it does not seem like much. I would rather see Jason helping Michael cope rather than covering his tracks.
Stop knocking sam! She is great. And far as steamy scenes ladies, steve burton refuses to do them. He will not even take off his shirt and i say good for him! You women treat him like a peice of meat! No wonder he wants to leave this show!
I Hope that there is a jasam reunion.. I Love GH and i love watching them together.. I do believe that they are great together. The whole Jasam Vs. Liason feud is getting old!! The ratings are the way they are because of this dumb feud.. I’m tired of reading fans saying how they will stop watching the show if jason isn’t with elizabeth or i’ll stop watching if jason isn’t with sam.. It’s ridiculos and i hope that this isn’t the reason why the ratings are falling.. i would hate to see my favorite show taken of the air because of this feud.. General Hospital doesn’t revolve around Jason’s Love Life, even though i absolutly love jason, the fans shouldnt stop watching the show because he’s not with someone we don’t like.. Not only are people being silly but they are bashing Rebecca Herbst and Kelly Monaco.. i believe they are both great actresses and fans shouldn’t bash them.. They are given a script and they do what is given to them.. People should not call Rebecca Herbst or Kelly Monaco any name that NO WOMEN SHOULD BE CALLED!! it’s really upsetting reading some people’s comments about the actresses because they don’t like the direction the show is going.. I really wish people would stop focusing on the Jasam Vs. Liason show and start focusing on GENERAL HOSPTIAL!!!
I think it would be great….I am tired of sweet, little Elizabeth – she should get a grip. The way she prances around….like little Miss Goody Two Shoes – think its terrible she is depriving Jason of Jake…. If she doesn’t want Jason then Jason and Sam should reunite. Enought already…Jason needs a love interest and Sam is his girl.They have or had a terrifc bond- were great together and make a better match.
I would love to see them together again! Elizabeth was too goodie two shoes for him. Sam has an edge for danger and she could live with the kind of life that Jason has. I really hope they do get back together and so do most friends who watch GH
Where they went wrong was the kidnapping…they never should have broken them up in the first place…it is the only thing watching the show for…the Carly Jax thing is old..and too many women around Sonny again…and if they didn’t put Jason with Claudia they should put him back…I am so ready for it!!!
I sure look forward to a JaSam reunion. Those two shared a powerful connection that no other couple on GH at this time can surpass. The writers at GH wrote some really damaging material for KM’s character. But, that writing only proved what a great actress she is. That certainly does not take away my longing for a reconciliation with Jason. You go GH. I might just decide to keep my cable on in order for me to view the show on Soap Net. Love GH forever.
I can’t stand the thought of Jason and Sam together. Been there, done that…don’t want to do it again…. She had so much more chemistry with Lucky and he brought out a different side of her… I have nothing against Sam just don’t like her with Jason.

A Jason and Sam reunion is the best thing that can happen to GH. People say it’s unrealistic for Jason to go back to Sam after what she did to Jake….. how about the most unrealistic thing they ever could’ve done was make Sam watch Jake get taken. That was so out of character not to mention the writers had Jason lying to Sam about Jake where their whole relatioship was built on trust. Don’t get me started with unrealistic!!!!!
I can’t wait to watch how they rebuild Jason and Sam’s relationship! It’s been a long time coming for GH to rewrite the wrongs it’s done to this amazing couple!!
I think a JaSam reunion is well past due. I like Liz, but she and Jason had zero chemistry.
IT WOULD be AWEOME for a jasam reunion, if yu think about sam is like the ONLY chick that jason loved, that has EVER fully accepted his lifestyle. Even tho the breakup was beyond painful it allowed sam to be more independent shes like her own person and doin her own P.I thing. And yes Jason does NOT forgive easily but he DID forgive sam after that whole nasty ric affair. The breaking point for jason was wen sam let jake get kidnapped which she MADE UP for by helpin jason save him from the russian mob.

I am excited about Sam and Jason. They never should have split them up. Jason with Elizabeth and Sam with Lucky – really? Not that was a bad story line.
I agree with Jackie. Sam & Jason have chemistry and Jason & Liz don’t. I also agree with Jackie that all the name calling isn’t necessary. Kelly and Rebecca are just actors reading a script!
The writers dislike women. They are the ones you should be complaining about.
The relationship between Sam & Jason will be short. The writers are suppose to be adding a new character that knows Sam. God knows what other horrendous things that will be added to
Sam’s already horrific past.
I think Sam & Jason belong together – - if they are gonna do another “Luck & Laura” it should be with Sam & Jason (of the Mob world) Sam is the back bone for Jason, she understands his line of work and she gets her self put in the cross fires with him. In life you need someone that is willing to lay their life down for you and Sam has shown that loyalty time and time again.. The fact that she is not able to have children is a blessing for their relationship. I have been waiting since their break-up and they each ended up with the other half of another couple (which i thought was stupid) now they can finally be together however Steve Burton needs to renew his contract..Kelly Monaco and Steve Burton have such great chemistry it would be ashame if they do not let them get back together.. and leave them together because they deserve each other…

Since they have not been focused on Liz and Jason and have been focusing and Jason and Sam the ratings have dropped. Enough said, that’s the proof that Jason and Liz belong together
I love the fact that Jason and Sam are getting back together. I love them together. On the subject of Jason forgiving Sam he already has forgave her. But Jason made mistakes just as Sam did, I guess a hurt woman will do anything sometimes out of hurt. I think that Jason and Sam bring the good out of each other when they are together. So I think GH needs to bring on Jasam!!!!
Why are they still calling it General Hospital? It should be the Sonny and company show. A lot of people are happy to see Sam and Jason together, I am not one of them. The writers try and show Jason as the champion of children. That’s not right, he’s the champion of Sonny’s children. After all he’s geting back with the woman who watched a mentaly unstable woman walk off with his infant son. A woman who hired men to point loaded guns at said infant and his mother. I now understand why TPTB broke up Jason and Elizabeth, they are setting up Super Jase to rescue Sonny and his family time and time again. If he had stayed with Elizabeth he would not have time to be a husband to her nor a father to Cam and Jake. He’d be to busy cleaning up the mess that Sonny and Carly make.
Speaking of Jake, we all know that sonner or later he is going to find out that Jason is his father. How is Jason going to explain being with a woman who almost caused him to be hurt very badly or worse. Will Jason tell Jake about Sam’s rocking body, somehow I do not think that Jake will care.
I’m so glad I stopped watching this turkey. I am so sick of the bang bang shoot them up cr@p the writers are giving us. I check the updates once in a while to see what’s going on and in the last few months have been a waste. Here’s hoping the ratings continue to slide all the way to the basement.
Diane you said it best! They need to rename the show. I also stopped watching general sopranos! This show is awful and all the old fans dont care about jason, sam, carly or sonny! We liked alan, leslie, monica, bobbie, lucy and the old gang. I hope they cancel this show!
I actually sort of like them together.. they have great chemistry and are fun to watch. Anyone remember the episode during the hospital crisis when Sam shot Jason?? freaking hilarious! I was bummed when they dragged the Jason and Elizabeth storyline for years and then just drop it, but Jason and Sam look better together I think.. better chemistry, and understanding of each other. If they do reunite I hope that the writer’s do it well and the storyline is good.
I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself!! BEST thing the writers could do, maybe they are starting to listen to the fans? Jasam fans have been waiting a looongggg time for this, the past few years have sucked without them together. Not to mension how painful it was to watch two characters who loved eachother so much hurt eachother so badly, stupid writers. Im actually excited to watch GH now, havent been able to say that in a while!!!

Please do not put Sam and Jason together. He belongs to Elizbeth. GH need to wake up. I am so tried of not seeing Jason happy and he was happy with Elizbeth. They are soulmates. If you want the rating to go up you need them back together. I want Jason to tell her he want her back and we can work it out. I just want to see Jason go after want he wants.
Responses: Jason and Liz are both fictional. Fictional characters do not have souls. Hence, they are not soul mates.
That being said I’d rather see them together than Liz and the Prince, who is just as hazardous to her kids health.
And I still say what I said WAY UP THERE. Putting Sam back with Jason also attacks the one characteristic they have given Sam consistently… she’s smart. She’d be an idiot to be more than friends with Jason.
The people writing in to these blogs sound like a bunch of teenagers. You should be fighting for better storylines, not for couples! this show should not focus on sonny and jason love lives! Where are the fans from years ago. Please speak up!

Jason was NEVER with Liz. Only in her mind, and in her bed one night when she got pregnant. There was NO relationship between them. Everytime she planned something for them, he stood her up. He had other priorities. Action speaks louder than words.
To Bill…..as far as people blogging on here acting like teenagers, most of us have written to the show with better ideas. It goes to blind eyes. So we take what they give us, and follow THAT story. After all, this show is a story about people’s lives who entertwine in Pt. Chuckles. We watch it for entertainment.Escape from our lives for a few minutes a day.
Debi you seem like a smart lady.i i would just like the show to take the focus back to the lives of the hospital staff. Not the mobsters! This used to be a good show but now it is all about sonny and jason. Vet viewers would agree.

I love the idea of Jasam. Sam understands Jason now more than ever and knows its lonely where he is and she is also. Their lives fit with each other now. Both can live it and have each to come to. It was not that way before. She lost herself. As long as they keep her not losing herself in Jason again it could make for good and funny story lines

I can honestly say that since they put the fire out of Liason, I havent been the devoted fan I once was. Definately HATE the idea of Sam and Jason. Very boring, Liz and Jason need the chance and opportunity to be together and for Jason to be a father to Jake, like stated earlier, he can be around Michael, Morgan and not think twice, why not his own son? The chemistry of Liason is spectacular. Give them and the fans a chance to see what they can do. Jason as a father and Liz has been known to be mean and protective when needed. Jason is not a mean person and Liz fits in. Tired of seeing Jason with Sonny’s cast offs when Sonny is done Jason takes them..BORING and SICK! So when Sonny is done with Claudia, does Jason get her next, she’s to evil even for Jason.

I would hate a Sam Jason reunion. The problem with GH is that the writers seem to forget their long and often overly convoluted storyline. I can’t see Jason going back to Sam when she put Jake in danger and then Elizabeth and her sons, i.e. his son too, in danger like she did, whether pretend or not Maybe she was able to help him rescue Jake but that was the least she could do. I have to fast forward now whenever they’re on the screen together, a total pain as Jason is one of the main characters that makes GH for me. I don’t care for the gangster show but I really appreciate Jason. Just one look can express so much. And any moment when he and Elizabeth glimpse each other is poignant. I really feel their unrequited love for each other and I’m sorry it can’t be remembered and mentioned or acted upon in some small way every so often.
A possible Jasam reunion has made me physically sick. They have recreated the Jason Morgan character and rewritten history is too much for my stomach to take. Jason getting back together with the woman that watched his son get kidnapped and hired men to harass Liz in the park with her children is unforgettable and not realistic for Jason. I don’t care how bad Sam was hurting over the situation, you NEVER put a child in harms way. That ship has sailed and TPTB need to put Jason with his true love Elizabeth. They want us to believe that Sam can live his life but all he does is save her and she makes matters worse. She is not even a strong character, no one wants to watch strippers on GH.
I think it would be great for Jason and Sam to be together again. Elizabeth is no good for him.
Enough about Jason and Sam. What about General Hospital? Three fourth of the time scenes take place in Sonny’s house. Lately the bar has been on sceen a lot,too. We see Monica and Edward a little more since Michael moved in but now he and Kristina are on the run. We need Audrey, Ephiney, Matt, Bobbie, Monica, and Toussaint. Why bring back Billie D. and not give him a story? I am also tired of Maxie and Spinelli though I like the characters but there are others that need stories. As for Kate, they have just pushed her out of the picture completely. Please solve the shooting of Michael. Send Jerry packing for good and send Claudia someplace. As for Sonny suddenly showing interest in Kate’s cousin, what is that?
GH writers have forgotten their loyal fans for the past. We need to see more core characters. Sonny was not an original character. Now it’s like the
Sonny Show. Jason, Elizabeth, Sam and Lucky need new love interests and Rebecca needs to leave town with Ethan.
Personally, I LOVE seeing Jason & Sam together! Jason is a very sensual-looking man and Sam is a very sexual person, the pair are perfect!
I must say that I am quite happy about Jason and Sam reconnecting. He doesn’t have to change to be with Sam, she accepts him for who he is. They both love danger. I liked him with Elizabeth but to me her children should come first. Jason’s lifestyle is WAY to dangerous for her and her boys. I haven’t been smiling so much at GH in a lonnng time – or eager to watch! They’ve done a great job so far with a slow build, showing how natural Jason and Sam are around each other. Jason is so much more enjoyable as a character when a little fun and tenderness comes out, and that definitely happens with Sam – great chemistry!
For a while I was just skipping through GH every so often, but now I am eager to watch!
I’m not happy. I love Jason…I love Sam…just not together. The relationship ran its course and now it’s time for both of them to move on. Let them have their little adventure, but also let’s bring some new love intrests. I know it’s hard. Everyone is related in Port Charles. And don’t get me started on the Nik/Liz flirting….So annoying. I’m not a big LL2 fan and I can’t stand Nic and Becks, but please GH writers..rethink these couple ideas!!

THEY BROUGHT IN BILLY DEE WILLIAMS AND THERE HAS BEEN NOT STORY LINE FOR HIM. GH WILL NOT GET BETTER RATINGS UNTIL IT IMPROVES THE STORY LINES AND STOP HAVING A SHOW WITH ALL THESE WHITE PEOPLE ON IT. YOU ONLY SEE BLACK PEOPLE AS EXTRA’S IN THE BACKGROUND, IS THIS AMERICA OR WHAT. NOT EVEN A BLACK POLICE OFFICER THAT HAS A SPEAKING PART. THAT IS WHY THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS IS NUMBER ONE AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE IS NUMBER THREE BECAUSE THERE ARE BLACK CHARACTERS ON THOSE SHOWS THAT DO MORE THAN JUST HANG IN THE BACKGROUND. WAKE UP GH!!

I agree that I am tried of the writer’s love affair with Carly. She can do no wrong. Sony & jason can do no wrong. I don’t really understand why everybody on the show does bad and sometimes evil things, but Sam is the only one that seems to have consequences. Why don’t the writers write Sam a part where Jason stands up for her the same way he did for Liz. He told everybody, even Carly to back off Liz and they did.
And for the person who called Sam a slut.. Carly has slept with every man in town, but no one would ever bring that up. Liz was playing tonsil hockey with Lucky’s brother, she was seeing jason when she was married to Lucky, , but no one would dare mention that.
I am totally looking forward to a Jasam reunion! The scenes on Monday’s GH roped me right back in after 2 years of saying I would never root for a couple again. It is just something about them that makes them lovable!
Where is Sam’s self respect? She should realize that if Jason gets back with her it’s because he can’t be with Elizabeth and the boys.

I don’t want to see Jason and Sam back together. Jason would never forgive Sam for what she did its just not realistic. I am also still holding out for Jason and Elizabeth to be together. That storyline has never been played out to its full extent. Elizebeth may be sweet but she is not inocent. She will do what is needed to protech those she loves. I will turn off my DVR if ABC Daytime goes forward with this pair. I won’t watch and I have been a fan since 1980.
I love JaSam. I think they have more chemistry than any other couple. Jason and Sam are so adorable together. I was once a Liason fan (gasp) but Liz/Jason don’t belong together, Liz and Lucky do. Now i am a JaSam fan through and through. They are endgame for me. I am hoping for alot of JaSam!!! <333

Jasam are an amazing couple! They were lovers AND friends and thats what made them so great. I mean, they’ve been seperated for 3 years, yet they still have this undeniable chemistry! I think that GH is doing a decent job in reuniting Jasam. A year ago I was very happy with Lusam and happily fast forwarding through Jiz scenes. Now I am so happy to see the couple that I loved on my screen together. They have amazing chemistry – even when they disliked each other. Jasam 2009!
If anyone could have sat and watch Jason and Liz for nearly 3 years(one of the most boring couple I have had the misfortune to watch) than Jason and Sam will be a great.Jason and Liz just wasn’t comparable, they didn’t look that good together,they looked odd and there was no chemistry.I don’t think Sam and Jason should have been broken up.

Sam is a sociopath. Only a sociopath is capable of the kind of evil that it takes to hurt an infant and then think that just by saying sorry two years after the fact, would be enough to erase what she did. There is no possible way a person with a conscience can get behind the pairing of Sam and Jason. Sam facilitated a child abduction.
She could have been a real hero by stopping Maureen but she didn’t. She could have proved that she wasn’t pure evil by anonymously phoning in where the baby was. But she didn’t. She stayed silent, because she truly did not want Jake to ever be found and she did not once care that he could possibly have been killed by Maureen.
This is freaking child abduction! A crime that is epidemic in this country. Anybody reading this knows if your baby was abducted and you found out later that your ex watched the abduction and knew who had your kid the whole time but never came forward because they wanted your kid gone, just to get back at you, not to mention came and told you your baby was dead, You would never ever forgive them ever. That person would be dead to you.
The Jason, before November 2008, would never have trusted Sam again or forgiven her and Elizabeth truly would never have allowed the woman who harmed her kids to be near them again, ever.
Writers, Please. Stop rewriting history. Stop changing who characters are at their core just to shove some implausible story down the viewer’s throats.
What kind of message is GH and ABC sending by allowing a woman who possesses the type of evil to hurt a baby, to be in any kind of relationship, friendship or anything more with the man whose child she perpetrated a crime against. It does not ring true.
People who deliberately hurt children should not be held up as someone to root for on national TV.
Stormy 1000 you are in denial and you need to get over it. Sam has saved Jason’s but to many times that it is ridiculous. He has caused her to get shot. She risked her life to save that baby as I said before and she also saved Sonny’s kids. OK she made a mistake with the baby, but that baby was safer with that lady than what happen when the Russians took him. This is not real life, and baby’s are taken all the time on soaps so let that go. Stop hating on Sam, how about Claudia who got Michael Shot, Carly who left her child with a hit man and even Robin who was not caring about her child, Alexis who has killed someone and has not been a good mother,(too controlling) I could go on and on so LEAVE SAM ALONE!!
I am without a doubt 100% against a Jason and Sam reunion. Jason doesn’t do betrayal. And I definitely do not believe that Jason would ever be romantic again with a woman who endangered his son on more than one occasion. I believe it would be best to move each one on separately. Redeem Sam if you will but not with Jason.
Jason and Liz should be together as a family. Jason needs to grow as his own person instead of Sonny and co. Jason would never take a woman back that watched his child be snatched and didn’t stop it because of being jealous and then go to the mother to taunt her. I’m sorry but I can’t root for a woman to get her hearts desire in the end without ever paying for her crimes.

JaSam is a poor substitute for real romance and love. I’m tired of GH’s characters being written out of character and with no regard for their history. Right now Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webb are the latest victims. The Jason Morgan on my screen must be an imposter. Jason would never be running around with the woman who purposedly endangered his child out of spite and would certainly not entertain the idea of sex with her. Elizabeth Webber is not a shrinking, trembling coward. I can’t figure out what is going on here but it is just another bad decision by whoever is in charge and bringing GH to its knees. Gotta wonder sometmes if it is on purpose.

My friends have quite watching because of it and the dreadful writing. Jason Morgan is someone who is big on trust, loyalty and honesty. This woman has broken all those rules twice over. Look how long it took him to forgive the other woman who have done him wrong, some he never forgave and kicked them out of his life–Sam should be no exception especially after everything she has done. So I’m sorry but this is really stretching it and beyond ridiculous to even have him on friendly terms with her. The woman he should be spending time with and fighting to get back is the mother of his child, Elizabeth who doesn’t need to carry a gun to be considered a “ride or die” chick. That woman has more sass, spunk and– oh yeah! class in her little pinky finger then any other woman on the show. Put her back with Jason and then I’ll see real sparks flying. They are the definition of sexy cause they don’t even have to try.

Jason falling for Sam is about as believable as Angelina Jolie giving her blessing to Brad Pitt to do Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2 with Jennifer Aniston. And that aint gonna happen. Jason, the character, has lived (& practically died) by a certain code since he became Jason Morgan. What he is doing now only makes him look like a pathetic hypocrite. However, General Hospital loves to absolutely destroy a character, if they are nervous, as a cat on a hot tin roof, the actor isn’t going to resign… so surprised that they have made the character look & talk like a complete moron: NO. They have been told a million times & it will not change…. The story of Jason and Sam growing closer as they work together does NOT work…NO NO NO. It didn’t work the last 8 months… it isn’t going to work this time. It is too contrived to work. It is too situational to work. It is too forced to work. They need to just stop with it, enough already.

I have been a Jason Morgan fan from the moment he woke up from his coma. I too am breaking out in hives and am sick to my stomach. The Jason Morgan I have known and loved for many years does not forgive betrayal. He would never forgive and he would never forget what this woman did to his son. She used his child as a tool for revenge. He would never interact with her in a friendly manner never mind become romanticly involved with her again. GH should be ashamed of themselves for even impying this. For Jason to hook back up with her is character suicide Unwatchable and unbelievable. GH needs to stop re-writing history and destroying the integrity of it’s characters. Give me back the real Jason Morgan the one who would never forgive a malicious woman who wanted his son gone.
Jason belongs with the mother of his son, Elizabeth. They are the story and the couple I want to see.
Side note, GH should pay attention to who the majority of the viewers are, we are women, some are mothers, and as a mother I find it vile and disgusting to try and promote a parent becoming romantically involved with a person who watched their child get kidnapped and hired men to hold guns on their child. As a mother, I would never interact in a friendly manner with someone who went after my child.
Good lordy, please don’t put Sam with Jason, ever! GH isn’t really making too much sense right now. The more you watch it, the more dissolutioned I get. Jason isn’t forgiving. The idea of Jason even being friends with that awful, disgusting person is ridiculous. Jason took years to even forgive Robin for what she did, and we all know he loved her, and even now that he’s forgiven her, he’s never really wanted her romantically again. Jason has never forgiven Ric for the things he did to Sonny, Carly, and Elizabeth. Jason never forgave AJ either, and AJ is his brother. So for me, it doesn’t make any sense that Jason will even want to be around Sam let alone want to even touch her. The most logical course is for Jason to raise a family with Elizabeth and let their story be told. If it works, that’s great, and if it doesn’t, then let it be properly told why it didn’t work.
I’ve been dipping my toe in GH’s (cess)pool since the destruction of Jason and Elizabeth hoping things would heat up enough for me to wanna be a regular viewer again… but no, always too tepid for my taste. They said August was ‘heating’ up. What a joke!!! August is looking more like December… where’s my ice pick? I wanna shove it into my temple and put myself out of my misery.

I say go for it GH let Jason have a cuddly sexy co-partner I know it is a soap and I want excitement not some dredge of boring ass wedded bliss for anyone.
I DO NOT want to see Jason & Sam back together. It makes no sense and they have zero chemistry. The real Jason would never forgive the things she’s done to his own son. Them even spending time together makes Jason look like an idiot.
I see Jason and Sam as a plot-driven contrivance that would result in a dead-end for the show story-wise; the pairing is already living out repetitious “adventures” in search of the missing, and it’s already old. It’s insane to me that the people in charge seem so willing to compromise Jason’s character (and that’s what they’re doing, as so many on here have already described) just for the sake of some insubstantial stories of silly road trips and a pairing that has already had its moment in the sun; their scenes look forced now because they are. Jason has a secret son and the woman he’s said he’s always wanted to be with living in Port Charles. That’s a fount of good soapy stories that would be genuinely character-driven.

Elizabeth and Jason did not “fail miserably”. I think what bothers so many of their fans is that they were never given a fighting chance. For the most part, they had depressing, repetitive writing, and it seems clear that there was never a genuine intention to make them a real couple. Jason and Elizabeth were, and remain, hugely popular despite that. The resistance to writing for them is a mystery, and it’s a shame. Who knows what might have happened if they had received the same effort that all of Jason’s other pairings have had? The people in charge should just give it a try for a while, and then we’d all finally know, and there wouldn’t be so many dissatisfied fans.
I won’t watch a Jason and Sam relationship. I already FF through any scences that they share. Jsson and Elizabeth belong together. They share a rich, 10 year history that encompasses friendship, loyalty, and love ( before there was Jake and after Jake it continued).Jason would never forgive Sam. And , I don’t know call me crazy, but having someone threaten to kill me would be a HUGE turn off. But hey, that’s just me.

Jason Morgan is by far my favorite character on GH, well at least he was until they turned him into someone I no longer recognize. Why would Jason want to be with someone who has endangered his son(and Cam and Liz) on more than one occasion. The real Jason Morgan wouldnt. He doesnt forgive betrayal easily and he never forgets.
I would love for the character of Jason to try something new. It would be great to see him actually have his own family (Cam, Jake and Elizabeth). How would he manage being a father, husband and a mob enforcer. A bad boy and a good girl (ex. Bella and Edward from Twilight) is always a great storyline and added with a couple of kids its perfect.

Jason should not be anywhere near the woman who watched his son get kidnapped and said nothing for days. This woman then hired two men with guns to terrorize Elizabeth and Cam and Jake in order to keep Elizabeth away from Jason. Jason has threaten to kill this woman for hurting his family(Elizabeth, Cam, Jake). There is no reason in the world why an adult would go after and endangered two small innocent children because she is hurt, she could have gone after Jason and Elizabeth but decided to involve kids and for that reason alone she should have been either in jail or killed. Jason loves Elizabeth and trusts her with his heart,soul and his child. Jason and Elizabeth have saved each other many times both physically and emotionally. Jason and Elizabeth know that they can trust each other completely and relied on each other. Jason and Elizabeth are each others port in the storm of their lives and have a connection that started out when they were friends and has grown to an love that can’t be described by words alone. They can say more with their eyes than they can with words and the chemistry between the two of them can not be denied cause you get them in a room together and the sexually tension is off the charts. Elizabeth loves Jason as he is and does not have an hidden agenda and all she wants is Jason. Jason accepts Elizabeth as she is and does not try to tell her what to do, he just lets her be herself.
Elizabeth is more than capable to handle Jason’s life and has proved it more times than you can count. Both Jason and Elizabeth have made mistakes and they accept each other faults and sll. Elizabeth is no angel and can shoot to kill in order to protect the ones she loves. Elizabeth has been loyal to Jason and has protected him from his enemies and Sonny and Carly and the whole town of Port Charles and to me that kind of loyalty and love can not be denied no matter what. Jason loves Elizabeth and Elizabeth loves Jason and as I see Jason and Elizabeth are daytime’s next supercouple.

Honestly what is the purpose of a JaSam reunion? There is nothing more there to tell period. I didn’t hate them when they were together but they did nothing for me. They wrote Sam way too whiney and clingy and no woman is good when that happens. A Liason (Liz/Jason) story has far more ripples to it than a Jasam reunion could ever have. A Liason story means bringing the Q’s back to life and watching Liz and Jason try to deal with them. Watching Liz deal with Jason’s life up close and personal with kids because she was just fine with it before kids. Watching Liz and Jason deal with Sonny and Carly and their neverending selfishness. Watching Jason try to maneuver thru his day to day things and seeing him actually happy for once when he’s home. I know having Jason with a family isn’t popular to TIIC but doesn’t his character deserve to grow too? How is it he can’t have a life but Sonny and Carly can and they made the exact same choices he’s made? It’s past time to stop using “the danger” as an excuse and making Jason a big wuss in the process because that’s exactly what he’s being turned into. None of this even factors in the fact that Jason isn’t being written true to his character at all. He would never let Sam in his orbit for doing what she did to Liz and those boys—NEVER. And for any fans of this show to have to sit idly by and watch this sickens me. I know Kelly doesn’t want her character sullied but truthfully I’d find her more interesting if she took on some of Faith’s persona. Say she gets po’d at Jason and Liz and comes after them, much like Faith use to come after Sonny and his family. She would be more interesting in my opinion. Anyhoo, I just find nothing interesting about Jasam reuniting because what else can they do with them that hasn’t already been done? And Jasam fans, why for the love of all things holy would you want Jason near Sam when he threatened to kill her? I am a GH fan for 25 years and I do not want GH to put Jason and Sam together again. It makes Sam stupid for taking back a man that said I will kill you to her. And it makes Jason out of character as he is the man who never can forgive any past women he has been with…sure he becomes friends with them, but more than friends…not when the act is unforgiveable to the character of Jason Morgan. Did he get back with Robin (betrayal of the Michael secret), Carly (betrayal of sex with best friend), Courtney (betrayal of keeping the baby information and helping Lorenzo by knock Jason out)? NO!!! To me Sam’s betrayed him tenfold. So for him to get back with her makes Jason Morgan out of character, to befriend her yes that is in character for Jason Morgan. Jason should be with Liz as they have not been given a shot and they can give me a story I love the bad boy/good girl. Sure they have had air time, sure they have had on/off stories, but their story has been nothing but angst from the beginning. For godd sakes it took them 8 year to have sex…unforgiveable on a soap. Have they really been a couple NO. I agree with the people who say GH needs to focus more on stories, not couples. Couples can help you bring viewers in, but only so much as fans know couples are thrown together and ripped apart. History and stories is what you need to capitalize on. I don’t dislike any character if given the right story that the actors can make believeable. The problem here is the stories, and by extension the couples in those stories have stories that are boring, rewriting history of the show, showing them out of character, a redo of stories already told, or not completing stories with a beginning, middle and end. So I say put Jason and Liz together and finally tell the good/girl – bad/boy story of the past. But don’t stop there…all the other stories are tanking too.
Jason does not belong with Sam. They have a situational relationship. What other kind of relationship can two people have when one has helped kidnap the others child? There should be NO relationship at all. The fact that TPTB are even implying a friendship is just ludicrous!! They can try to whitewash Sam all they want but it’s just not working. It’s quite obviously the only reason Jason is anywhere near Sam, is to ’support’ her storyline. What else would she do?
I just can’t see it too much has happen for jasam to get back together. I want Liason they had supercouple wriiten all over them why change a great thing for something that is bringing ratings down. No one cares about Jasam anymore it’s stupid. Quit writing Jason like he’s a moron and pimping for other stories that suck too by the way and give the fans what they want for a change. LIASON 4-EVER.

Jason looks like a hypocrite and a coward. He should be with Liz and the boys. Sam needs someone who brings out the best in her. That’s not Jason.
The last thing in the world I want to see on my tv is Jason and Sam reuniting. First off, what man would want to be with a woman who watched his child be kidnapped and then have the woman he loves and her children threatened at gunpoint? And Second, what woman would want to be with a man that threaten to kill you? JaSam is done and over with in my opinion. They had their chance and blew it, let their past stay their. I want Liason to have a chance. They have a son and deserve the chance to raise him together. Jason has willingly agreed to raise everyone else’s kids, why not his own? They are safer and stronger together, than apart. And why not bring LuSam back together when Jasam and LnL2 fail (yet again)? And they can ride off into the sunset together? I do not and will never again support JaSam.
Breaking up Jason & Liz was a huge mistake. I was so excited to see Jason finally getting to grow and have his own life and family. After what Sam has done to reunite him with her is a slap in the face to jake.
Of course everyone wants Jason with Sam, why? because he threatened to kill her if she came near Liz and the boys again.But of course that can be interpreted as “love”, really? But it’s all about getting the ratings, and what Frons wants right? And the ratings are off the chart. Any lower and they might get cancelled along with Guiding Light.Jason and Sam don’t work. They aren’t the go to couple.And if I remember correctly Liz saved Sam at the cabin.And before you say Sam saved Jake, well that’s only because they needed to whitewash her character after she twice threatened Liz and her children.I suggest if you want higher ratings you go back to what works, Jason and Elizabeth, and bring back our core characters, and for god’s sake please balance this show. It’s called General Hospital not “Mobs R Us”. Maybe just maybe you’ll get the viewers that have been watching this show for 40 years to tune back in.
Jason & Sam are so boring. I believe most fans want to see Jason with Liz.
The thought of Jason hooking up with that skank again hacks me OFF BAD… They are ruining a wonderful character for one that could just disappear today and not many would even realize she was gone! Sam just seems to me to be a character who has outlived her usefulness. She doesnt really fit or have a purpose on the show any more. And having Jason go back to her just seems so unrealistic and forced. It is painful to watch because the chemistry just isnt there. My vote is a big NO to Jason and Sam.
Jason forgiving Sam and hanging out with is completely unbelievable. Jason would NEVER forgive her. His ons could be dead right now because of her wishing Jake gone. There is no going back from that. What’s more…Jason proved that his heart and desire for the future is truly with Elizabeth. Anything else is settling. I want to see true love and romance..”Love in the Afternoon”…not “Settling because you can’t have what you really want” and that’s goes for Elizabeth too. Her being with anyone else is siply because “Jason is not an option”…well, writers, make him that option and see the ratings rise from the toilet…you know, the place the show has been since you broke Jason and Elizabeth up.
To have Jason and Sam reunite makes both characters look bad. Sam should have more self respect than to ever go back to Jason. And Jason would never be able to trust her again. He looks like a real jerk right now for not choosing to be with Elizabeth and Jake.
Jason even speaking to Sam is an insult to many fans. I had to rewatch some of the scenes from the summer they split up, and it refueled my feelings on Sam being scum. Not that Jason is Mr. Perfect, but her character has been sketchy since she came on. She’s admitted to going after Jax and Sonny the same way she conned her other five husbands, but she fell for Sonny. She bought a baby off the black market??? WTH? I’am sorry for the Sam fans, but I do not see the big, she came on a con-artist with the history that she had. She is the one who chose to watch Jake get kidnapped, SAY NOTHING FOR DAYS! Why is anyone alright with the fact that for all she knew Jake could have been murdered or abandoned in a trash can?? How does anyone stomach the awful things she said to Elizabeth and Jason when that went down? Does no one remember her getting drunk at the Metro Court laughing and boasting to Amelia about Jake kidnapping, and then she later had the audacity to tell Amelia Jake coming home was not her priority? Hiring big scary men to point guns at children anyone?? How do her fans stand by her? Sleeping with her mother’s husband, her step-father? EEWWWWW. If they want to keep Sam round, fine, but they need to have her in a Cassadine story with her cousin or mother, or both. Tired of the single mother and nurse getting backstaged for her character too. Rebecca Herbst is GORGEOUS and very unique character, she has given 12 years of her life to GH, and this is how they thank her. They still have her as a supporting actress after all these years while characters like Claudia and Sam are Leads? What is wrong with this picture? Of course, GH, has a low standard when it comes to women, you can see that through the screen, not to mention, it seems if the actress is willing to show some skin, they get more airtime? Most women can not identify with either of these ladies! I want more of my VETERANS YOUNG AND OLDER. Becky deserves a real story, she DESERVES LIASON. Jake is the next generation of Quartermaine after Michael. I want Edward to know his grandson!! NO TO JASAM, IT IS RIDICULOUS AND UNBELIEVEABLE!!
I do not want to see any r”reunion” on GH between the characters of Jason and Sam. Jason has been on the show for 18 years. He has always protected children. Jason has a son who has been kidnapped twice, and held at gunpoint along with his mother and brother. Sam McCall watche unstable Maureen take Jake the first time and did nothing to stop her. She knew Maureen was grieving for her child that died in the fire. Sam lied to police, Jason, Amelia, Elizabeth, and Lucky when asked if she saw anything since they al knew she was in the park around the time of the kidnapping. Sam proceeded to deny Liz and Lucky the opportunity to plead with the kidnapper on her tv show. Sam taunted Liz by telling her that even if Jake is gone, she still had Cameron, Liz’s other son. Jake was safely retuned but Sam still vowed revenge on Elizabeth and Jason. She hired men with guns to terrorize Liz and the boys in the park. She made the men tell Elizabeth that they were only threatening her because of Jason. Then to make herself lok good she miraculuosly showed up to save the day. After the incident, Jason thanked her and she had the nerve to ask him if it made up for her watching the kidnapping. Jason told her no. When he found out that Sm was behind the gunmen, he told her to stay away from Elizabeth Jake, and Cam. Jason said if you hurt them again “I will kill you!” Sam has not shown any signs of growth. She is still just out for herself. The real Jason would never forgive or forget what she did and what she is capable of because of her past crimes. No parent even fictional would forgive the person who endangered their child. GH seems to want to whitewash Sam by making her past actions against children disappear. It is not working. True Jason fans know what she did, and will never forgive/forget. GH should look no further as to the steady decline in ratings, it is because of badly written stories, beloved characters’ destruction, and re-writing/changing/forgetting it own history. I will not watch Jason be thrown under the bus just to pimp the character of Sam. She is definitely not worth my time.
One more thing, Jason does not do betrayal, and he doesn’t do the forgiving thing when it comes to people hurting kids. He didn’t forgive Robin for 10 years for telling Michael’s true paternity. He kidnapped and went after Faith after she hurt Sonny’s kids, I can go on and on. So why is he in a scene two freak’n years after not only harming children, but his own?? FRONS NEEDS TO GET OVER HIMSELF, JASAM MAKES NO SENSE!!! ITS AN INSULT.
The Jason and Sam reunion is a complete joke! Jason has always lived by a certain code and would never trust anyone who endangered his child. This farce of a reunion is a slap in the face to all of Jason’s other pairings, as well as to Jason himself. This is like saying he cares more for Sam (gag) than his own child! I’m not buying it at all! Oh, and the baby voice Sam uses to try and sound cute grates on my last nerves. She is a villian and needs to be portrayed as such. Way to lose more viewers with this crap. I’ve watched for almost 20 yrs and i’m only 34. I’m a huge Jason fan yet I can’t stand to watch his scenes anymore, go figure.
If Jason could not forgive Robin for 10 years, I have no idea how he can even be in the same room with Sam at this point. This potential pairing is ruining the character of Jason Morgan and taking the show down with it. Wise up and start writing stories that are interesting and MAKE SENSE.

This would be the biggest mess that General Hospital could make. It would completely destroy the character of Jason Morgan to the point that he would be a joke. This character would NEVER forgive the person that was responsible for his child being placed in danger not once but twice. She betrayed him with his worst enemy, slept with her mother’s husband and tried to make it all his fault. Give me a break. If they put this couple back together after all that has happened it will be another part of the show that I FF for lack of interest. Jason belongs with the women he loves and the mother of his child anything else would be second choice and not worth my time watching.
Sam/Liz/Jason are just characters. I think the people, who don’t like Sam, protest far too much.

I remember when I couldn’t wait for my busy day to be over, so I could sit back and enjoy a good story. In the last year GH has ruined most of their key characters. What parent could forgive anyone harming their children? I feel GH have forgotten their viewers. We are intelligent. Why would Sam want Jason back after he threatened to kill her? Jason should crawl back to Elizabeth and beg for her to give him a chance.
The storyline whiplash I received last fall when Jake was kidnapped a second time still hurts. What a contrived bunch of bologna! What followed had ‘agenda’ written all over the storylines. We had a complete whitewash of Sam that was so over the top it was truly laughable. Not only is Sam not the “tough” chick she purports to be, she puts herself in dangerous situations that she always ALWAYS has to be rescued from. She’s written as a freakin’ moron. She is not the ‘perfect’ counterpart to Jason. She’s an albatross around his neck. What’s more, I find it insulting that GH thinks it has to attire this actress in the skimpiest/sluttiest costumes all in the name of her “P.I.” business. Give me a break. It’s exploitation and to try and work these scenes into storylines is insulting to the intelligence of viewers. Hey writers!! Your demos are not teenage boys and horny men…it’s women who want to see real romance in their soaps! Cut.It.Out! It’s embarrassing to watch any part of this show anymore. The contrived reunion of Sam and Jason is just one more reason I don’t have the time or energy to invest in dvr’ing this show anymore. Jason, Sam and the Corinthos kids have been the last straw for this viewer.
(And by the way…”chemistry” is in the eyes of the beholder. Just because some viewers think Jason and Liz have no chemistry, doesn’t make it so. Same with Jason and Sam. It’s just the way it is.)
There are just as many who like jason and sam as who dont. BUT no one couple is going to save the show. the writing needs to improve first and formost.

Jason and Elizabeth belong together raising their family. It is ruining the Jason character by having him even associate with someone who endangered his family multiple times; as well as betraying him by sleeping with his enemy. Part of the core character this viewer fell in love with would NEVER,EVER give the time of day to someone who betrayed him in that way. Case in point; someone he truly loved; like Robin; it took him how long to even talk to her again???? Makes no sense. It also disrespects the feelings his been shown to have for his son and the woman he loves(and Cam)to even entertain the thought of confiding in this person; let along have a physical relationship with them again?????WHAT???? After 10 years of being a fan of the Jason and Liz, I feel it is a slap in the face to the loyal viewers who have hung in there time and time again; just to see this fabulous couple get a decent shot; like OTHER couples have gotten,(and I don’t mean 2 minutes here and there and “danger,danger). Compare air time for both pairings…ridiculous…favoritism from higher ups???Shouldn’t the show be listening to those who’s views have kept this show on air for as long as it has??? I am a huge fan of both GH and the actors who portray Jason & Elizabeth. Steve and Becky bring such depth to their scenes and are class acts both on screen and off. They are the reason that their loyal fans have wanted Liason for 10 years.
Most fans of this couple cannot forgive or forget the damage that the character of Sam has dealt not only to Jason, Liz & the boys but also to Alexis, Jax, Sonny, Carly, and the list could go on and on.
Excuses, placing blame and lies do not equal taking responsibility for situations Sam has caused. Sam needs to be shut out of Jason’s world permanently.

We’ll see if that happens at the end of August, won’t we? And if does happen, the ratings will go down faster than you can say “how low can you go?” It’s already happening. Last week, which was a Jasam-heavy week(which was promoed heavily too)…..went down in ratings and in in nearly every age category. Jasam days (which were promoed) have consistently been the lowest days of the week. But if TBTB are idiotic enough to want those low ratings, they’re welcome to continue with Jason/child endangerer.
It’s not the fact that people hate Sam. I don’t hate Sam. It’s the fact that they don’t want Jason to be with a child endangerer. I was ok with Jasam the first time. But I will not watch this time. And apparently I’m not the only one.
Jason and Elizabeth were written to be deeply in love with each other, but not able to be together because of the danger to their son. The character of Jason would NEVER forgive sam for her deplorable actions against his son, watching him get kidnapped and saying nothing; and then taunting elizabeth that now they would both have a dead child; plus hiring two men with guns to hold elizabeth and her boys at gunpoint to scare elizabeth away from jason. (the show might want us to forget this, and the fact that jason/elizabeth were/are in love, but this viewer has not, and will not be watching GH. I stopped back in November 2008, and won’t return until the characters I know and love return. I don’t even recognize the character of Jason. I hope GH reunites Jason & Elizabeth, it’s the only story that makes sense.
Jason & Elizabeth should be given a chance, I have never seen a show build something up for so long, and just drop it with no explanation! And furthermore, have Jason back together with Sam?! I don’t want a couple to stay together forever but I want their story to be told. And Liason was cut short ALL THE TIME. Jasam got the action/the domestic moments. Liason got the stupid speeches about danger. But for all of Jason’s hogging of the airtime, they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the ratings. It’s a beautiful thing.

And how about Carly, she gets forgiven for doing a million stupid and destructive things. The Sam character was written crazy and out of her mind for one full year (I was hoping for a breakdown)! It was hard to watch as a die hard Sam fan. I honestly think that GH wrote Sam like that for only one reason…. to make Liz and Jason a believable story. Love the redemption of Sam. She deserves it! honestly i can’t wait for the jason/sam reunion =) i love jasam and have been waiting for them for soooo long. i didn’t even think it was possible and all of the sudden they were and i couldn’t be happier. i hate that people are calling sam a slut. can we just take a minute to actually think about this, okay so first she was with jax, but then jax dumped her and basically threw her out and right into sonny’s arms. and sonny and sam really needed each other. it was not slutty because sam “loved” him. and then there is jason, the love of her life, her soulmate. now, the whole sleeping with ric thing, yeah it’s awful but she was so hurt. jason told sam he didn’t love her and ric was there. she wanted to feel wanted again after she was kicked to the curb for the one billionth time. and finally, lucky whom she also grew to love. so what is that, 5 guys ? total. okay lets go to carly, carly has slept with god knows here’s what comes to mind real fast a.j, tony, jason, sonny, jax, patrick, alkasar, etc etc . and no one is calling her a slut. not only that but how many times has she cheated ? she’s cheated on basically everyone she was with. I’ve watched GH for over 20 years and I still love it. No, I’m don’t like that they keep re-writing history & destroying soap couples; however, I’m in it for the long haul. Of course over the years I’ve seen a lot of my favorite couples break up and leave the show, but it is a work of fiction so I try and find something else that I like about the show. I remember watching it in the 80s & 90s and it was awesome! We had great storylines that including love triangles and characters that always seem to find their way back to each other. Maybe TPTB at GH should re-watch those episodes and then they will know what fans really want.
Almost forgot, go JaSam! I believe that this has the potential to be a great story (if well-written). I would also love to see Liz in a great storyline because she deserves it! GH always seems to fall short of portraying family & togetherness.
I would love nothing more than a JaSam reunion. Liz and Jason do not have any chemistry, and she’s too wimpy for his line of work. And Jason actually smiles when he’s with Sam. He smiles a lot. They have so much chemistry, and they could be daytime’s next butt-kicking super couple! If you don’t like it, then just skip the parts of the show that have them. I had to do that with Jiz for most of 2008.

I am lookng forward to the Sam and Jason reunion. She realy is the only option for him (besides Carly, but that possibility died years ago). Before her and jason first got together, she always lived her life her way and she took care of herself. That was part of the initial attraction between them. Then the writers lost that part of sam some time after she lost the baby. they turned her into this needy girl who lived only for jason. that was the demise of their chemistry. now that she has her own business and is back to living her life her way this reunion can work. the writers just need to maintain that part of sam. and as for forgiveness, alot of the things that sam did after they broke up was because of the way jason treated her after she got shot and almost died . she was told she couldn’t have kids and the love of her life pushed her away and kept telling her that he didn’t want to be with her any more. I think Jason knows sam well enough to know that her head was not in a good place when the things with jake took place and that he was partly responsible for making her feel that way.
And as for liz,for some reason i can not stand her when she is with jason. it just does not seem real. she expects jason to be this person that he isn’t. he will never be the white picked fence family guy. liz is no saint but overall she lives the normal life that jason can never be a part of. but i am really enjoying her and nik. there definitely chemistry there. they have been friends so long it is kind of funny to think this is the first time they have noticed each other. Plus, it is time for lucky to move on from liz. all this back and forth has killed his personality. i feel like the writers have no idea what to do with him without liz as his girlfriend/wife
Im happy about the Jason and Sam reunion. I think Sam works best for Jason because she understands him and she is able to get him to talk about his feelings also she excepts who he is. Sam can live the dangerous live with him and liz can not. Plus, i like the story line with Liz and Nicholas.Anyways, Sam is good for Jason and i am happy to see how this story plays out.
Well… I’m pleased as punch with GH again.. That includes Jason/Sam… I’ve enjoyed the bulk of the show for months now… as a Jason fan I’m glad he is getting a story of his own that doesn’t include crying over a box of pain full of kid pics because of his life style… I’m with Steve Burton –I was tired of him being a manny too… lol.. it’s good to see him smiling again on screen while still throwing in some action mode… the romance n good moments are appreciated for a guy who went a couple years walking around in misery longing for a child he wasn’t allowed to know.

I am enjoying ever minute of Jason and Sam reunion as a long time fan of general hospital I never understood why they broke them up in the first place and seeing both of them grow and learn how to forgive each other because the love and bond they have always shared is wonderful I can’t wait to see what happens next. I think they have the potential to be as ABC called them a super couple!
I think that this is just pointless. Liason fans were whiny about Liason never getting together and their story never being told and guess what they got more than than–Jake is evidence. But that doesn’t prove anything other than that. It took years for Jason and Elizabeth to be all for each other and that was basically because of both of them being hurt. If Jason truly belongs with Elizabeth, why didn’t they get together before? Jason may love Liz on the level of Jake and the ideal family but be honest, what other woman handled Jason’s work other than Carly and didn’t try to change him or expect him to be someone he wasn’t? Sam. And I’m not discrediting anything she’s done because what she did was irrehensible but everyone wants to point out that Jason would never forgive someone. Look what he did for Carly and I know that that’s not the same thing with Sam because it actually comes to his flesh and blood, but true love can overcome anything. Look at the classics—Bo and Hope, Victor and Nikki, Dixie and Tad, Blair and Todd, and the all famous Luke and Laura. All the couples have done things to each other that in real life some of us would never look pass and get over but they did. And that’s what really puts everything into perspective because that being said its just the fiction, its not reality. True to form the soaps change just like the weather. No actually couple stays happy for too long and that’s how it is in real life. Nothing is all roses, you have some thorns, too. But everyone is entitled to their opinion but I feel as though the Liasons are taking this too a whole nother level that it shouldn’t be taken to. They should count their blessing—Liz and Jason will always be connected through by Jake. He wasn’t conceived out of love, he was conceived out of pain. But they both love their child together. And in all fairness, all four parties Ric, Sam, Liz and Jason were intoxicated that night and they all were dealing with things that seemed too much to handle. No one was in the wrong. Even though Ric was married to Alexis, you still can’t fault Sam just like no one can fault Liz for being with Jason. Ric and Elizabeth were both married and if they believed in their vows and cherished them then none of what transpired would have never transpired. But like I said it’s a soap. I think things should flow out like the writers are doing and then if the wind blows them another way, so be it.

okay, i’ve been reading these commets and i have got to say this. some of you keep talking about jason being written out of character in regards to sam/jason reunion…but how about the fact it was totally out of character for sam to watch a child be taken or threaten liz and her kids…i mean maybe i was watching a different show but the sam mccall i watched develop and loved to watch would never had allowed harm to come to a child…she was all about children and trying be a good mother. I will admit i will stopped watching when they had jason leave sam in a hospital after waking up from a coma and didn’t really start watching again until this past year when jason and sam had screen time again. Thank god for you tube, i was able to catch up with history and see what i missed, but after that i was really happy i wasn’t watching. to see them destroy sam’s character like that was awful.
my other thing is everyone says jason doesn’t forgive easily….well i’ve seen him forgive carly, sonny, emily, oh and liz. so really for him to forgive sam isn’t that far out of character. also no one has said that sam shouldn’t forgive jason. he did threaten to kill her.
that all being said…i started watching GH and fell in love with jason and sam as they were falling in love with each other, I loved it. Jason seemed like a much more contented man, and sam was cool…i stopped when they broke up in 06, and now i’ve started watching again, and its sooo nice to see them recapturing that magic. i’m loving gh these days, so bring on jasam and sam!!!!
Seriously, are we watching the same show here? For those of you delusional people who believe that Liason had more chemistry than JaSam, go check out the definition for the word CHEMISTRY! Liason was the snorefest, if I’ve ever heard of one. JaSam/Skelly have REAL chemistry; the look in their eyes, the way they move, the way they fit. As fictional characters, they are as good as it gets. Its as simple as saying, THEY FIT TOGETHER! They just fit. All of Jason’s past relationships were leading up the amazing connection that is JaSam. A couple that accepts each other for all the messed up things about themselves. Some of you ask why would he forgive Sam when he has not forgiven much in the past. Its because she owns his heart. Some of you claim this couple is nothing like the classics (Luke & Laura ; Alan & Monica), when I see it as they are the modern version. They get put through hell with and without each other, but in the end, they will always be back to one another. If we really want to put blame, blame the writers. They were the ones destroying each character and taking away the foundation we knew them to stand on. Those that seem to have this irrational hate toward Sam, always bring up the same things. (She watched Jake get kidnapped, hired the thugs, slept with Ric) That is so played out. Those that favor Liason seem to think Jason is a God. Yet, did he not lie to Sam for months? Push her away after she got out of surgery? After a bullet she received for being with him? Then, did he not refuse to claim his child when he had always wanted one of his own? That’s the real difference between you Liason fans and us JaSam fans. We see the flaws each character has and realize that it makes Jason and Sam together make more sense. Elizabeth is just a little miss goody-two-shoes who wants to play around with the town bad boy. But where the hell was she at any major point in Jason’s life? She only came sniffing around Jason when it was convenient for her. Its no longer only the writers forgetting or changing history anymore; Liason fans have jumped on that bandwagon.
If you feel the need to stop watching GH just because they are no longer pimping Liason, you weren’t a real fan of the show and there will always be others that enjoy what is on screen. Your ignorance will not be missed.
And one last note, the writers had always said that JASAM WILL BE THE END PRODUCT. This was said during their break-up and somewhat while they tested the waters with Liason. Now us JaSam are getting what we’ve waited a long time for, and you Liason fans are just crying about it. You wanted to see what would happen between Jason and Elizabeth, well there’s your answer. You should be happy you got that much.

The only reason I tuned back into GH was to watch the reunion. The show became so awful I had quit watching it. I think they are magic together. I hope through the reunion they talk about some of the issues they had before.

It may not be believable to some b/c Jason never forgives anyone … BUT he has never acted so comfortable and so lovable as he does when he is with Sam. She gets him and his business and he doesn’t have to worry about hurting her feelings or getting angry with her. They can fight and it’s ok. Jason and Sam are the best thing going on GH. The chemistry between Kelly and Steve is off the charts. The couple seems realistic and they are a great match acting wise. I am on pins and needles waiting for GH to be on and its been a long time since Ive been able to say that. The show has improved quite a bit in the last few months, but Jasam is the best storyline on GH.
I love Jasam!!! I only started watching GH last year & only know all the previous story from youtube & back-story hints on the show, but it really seems like Jasam were 100% in love & things kind of escalated down the toilet. Sam saved Jake last year because she felt so bad & it’s obvious Jason loves her. Liz is b.o.r.i.n.g. If Nikolas wants to hit it after he’s down with torturing Rebbecca, he should go for it!! It is crazy to blame ratings on two people that are not offically “together”!The ratings have been declining for the last two years, Was that Liason’s fault, since some like to place blame on one non- couple? Back in 2005, ratings were very high, was that because Jasam were a couple? See how silly this blame game is! Some of you guys are acting like a bunch of preschoolers throwing tantrums all because you didn’t get your way! I’ve watched this show for over 20 years,and I love Jasam! I watched TPTB damn near destroy Sam & Lucky’s characters just to justify Liason, but I didn’t sulk and refuse to watch! As a long time viewer(long before sam came) that saw Liason back then, they were NEVER this long lost love story that some seem to make them out to be!!Even before she had her ONS kids, she never fit into Jason’s life! Ten years later, and she still doesn’t! Sam done some horrible things,but she also done some pretty great things too, like save the only thing that ties Liason together,Jake!People want to dump on Sam, but seem to forget that Liz ain’t no damn saint!Someone mentioned in a previous post that Sam is a subsitute for Liz, that made me lol! Liz got a couple kisses when they were younger, Sam lived with him,slept with him,was his fiancee,and she is a substitute for Liz? That’s funny!Liz was the rebound after the Jasam break up, not the other way around!After two years of being apart,Jason has never once said that he stopped loving Sam, maybe there’s a reason for that! I think it is funny that soap opera fans talk about characters as if they weren’t on a soap opera. The essence of a soap opera is the hyper-drama and unreality that keeps a story-line going on forever-literally. I used to LOVE Liason, until I started realizing that all those sweet romantic scenes on the bench were Liz babbling on and on about herself. What is really a crime is how the writers have forgotten romance in general on the show. Sex is not romance. I loved how Liz came to town and had a romance with Lucky-they should have been the next Luke and Laura. The beauty of soaps is that no matter how horrific they make your character, and we can all agree that every character has had to do some stupid and incredulous things (was it really so evil of Sam to watch Jake get kidnapped in soap opera world if you consider that her own baby died and that getting shot for Jason kept her from being able to have children and that the worst mistake of her life (sleeping with Ric) made Jason sleep with Liz and create that life-to me it isn’t evil, but sad)-all characters should be able to be rehabilitated. Look at Luke! He raped Laura and they became a super couple. Even now that he is a mean drunk with Tracy of all people, he is still a fan favorite-imagine if they let Laura come back and recreated the romance. Imagine if they created three dimensional story-lines so we wouldn’t have to be fighting over the only scrap of romance that we see-and that would be Steve Burton’s sweetness to women. Yes, I like Jasam but I do admit that the writers have done a godawful job of making her character as independent or feisty as she is supposed to be-sometimes she just seems willful and stubborn. But I like the sweetness they bring out of each other. I used to think Liz and Jason had it, but Liz really turns shrill around him and frankly it is stupid that Lucky and Liz aren’t a super-couple. ALL the fault of the writers. And for the star of the show, Sonny’s story-lines are stupid. If they want to be a mob show, make it a little less like cardboard storylines and create some real drama like the old Cassadine/Spencer rivalry. There is so much potential for this show, but the powers that be are just not getting HOW bad the writing is! I gave up watching the show a couple of years ago and have only just started watching again since Young and the Restless writers seem to have caught the same bad writing virus.
I love Jason. I’m 67 years old and his oldest fan. Sam is the only woman for Jason. She has no fear and has her man’s back at all costs. She believes she can’t have children so this takes the fear away from Jason putting kids in jeopardy, however, I believe Sam should suddenly be pregnant and she and Jason get on with life of love and a family. They both deserve this. She deserves children and Jason’s love. She’s a very loyal woman, and totally committed and loyal to him. She deserves the man whom she has never stopped loving.
I really the JaSam scenes..they are both very talented and they belong together..their the only reason i watch gh besides maurice benard..
I have to say that the Jason and Sam reconnection has been phenomenal. Over the past couple of weeks the powerful acting of Steve B. and Kelly M. have shown viewers tenderness, love, fear, apprehension, and even some humor. These two can communicate so much with few words and even shorter scenes and create magic on screen. Not to mention how sexy and hot there physical connection has been. I am so enjoying Jasam part 2 and feel it is being written and portrayed extremely well. I love that the writers have allowed Jason to evolve to find forgiveness and reach for something he should have never help destroy in the first place. I feel for them 5 years ago and am getting hooked all over again!

GH has been improving tremendously lately, and the Jason and Sam reunion is a part of that.
I find this all incredibly hilarious. I’d like to point out the fact that people are saying that Sam is the town’s slut? Has anyone paid any attention to who sleeps with who? I think it’s kind of hilarious that everyone’s precious Elizabeth is painted as this angel but she has two kids by different men…neither of which is Lucky whom her kids think is their father. She slept with Xander after Emily–her best friend and oh yeah, now she fantasizing about Nik…Emily’s husband and her ex husband’s brother. Kind of slutty and disgusting if you ask me. She also I believe was pregnant by Ric at one point but had a miscarriage. So she would have 3 kids by three different fathers. Carly also has been known to sleep around. She came to the show sleeping with Bobbi’s husband Tony. Kinda slutty. Also think about all the ways she’s connected to Jax. Has everyone forgotten about the fact that Jax was with Brenda when Sonny was with Carly. Then there was Sonny’s sister Courtney who was with both Jax and Jason. Carly was also with Jason. Kind of slutty. Everyone needs to stop calling Sam such a slut unless you’re going to note how slutty everyone else is on the show. Because last time I checked, everyone sleeps with everyone.
Also, I think it should be pointed out that besides a hand full of passionate moments, Jason and Liz were pitiful together. It was always poor Elizabeth blah blah blah. She couldn’t tell anyone that Jason was Jake’s son because of his lifestyle and then within two months she’s head over heels for him and wants to get married. Joke!
The writers made a huge mistake in making Sam out to be such a manipulative person. The whole kidnapping thing should have never happened. It was completely out of character for Sam especially considering her extreme love for children. But also…don’t forget who saved him when he was kidnapped from the cabin when Elizabeth couldn’t protect herself and her children–oh yeah–I’m pretty sure that was Sam. She’s redeemed herself a million times already. Give her a break.
She and Jason are good together. Not only does she accept and fit into his lifestyle, she provides this kind of passion that Jason hasn’t had with anyone in a really long time. And instead of a cute little good girl bad boy relationship, she actually brings out a lighter side in Jason…a sense of humor. I’ve watched some of their old clips on youtube recently and it’s crazy to see how much Jason has changed since then. He used to smile so much more–before Liz forced him to turn back into that guy who’s always hurting and so serious.

I love JaSam and am happy they’re reuniting. I don’t see how anyone can call them boring. Hopefully, they will maintain their edge, and not get back into the heavy drama. Sam is better when she’s smart and feisty, not when she’s crying all the time.

I would NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO PUT THOSE SCENES IN HIS PROFILE FOR POTENTIAL ROLES. unless he is seriously conidering doing comedy .. but not even close …

I’ve watched this show for 30 years and have always loved it, but I agree with Suzanna, Cindy, Carly & Shauna…just to name a few…I don’t want a reunion with Jason & Sam. I rather see him with a new character than with Sam.
Jason deserves so much better than Sam…I know
everyone wants to compare and contrast the
sluttiness of Sam & Elizabeth…whatever. To me
that’s just pointless. It’s a no brainer contest.
Sam slept with her mother’s husband out of anger,
hate and bitterness, and she did it on purpose, and
she meant for it to hurt people. Sam slept with
Lucky out of anger, hate and bitterness, and she
did that on purpose, and she meant to hurt people.
She watched at Jake was kidnapped and did nothing,
she hired people with guns to scare Elizabeth and
the two little boys.
Seriously people? Jason would never forgive such
mean hateful actions, and he deserves so much
better than her.
I’m already fast forwarding through Jason & Sam,
which is a sad state of affairs for me, Jason has
always been my favorite character…his chemistry
with Sonny, Monica, Spinelli and Elizabeth was just
incredible.
Over the 30 of GH watching I’ve seen many things
that I loved and hated…but this may finally be
the thing that makes me give up this show.
Seems like a lot of viewers are forgetting that when Jason had the latest brain episode he became capable of real feelings again and not just a one dimension character any longer. He even quit sonny for awhile as he struggled to accept who he had become in the previous years. I’m not sure about Jason and Sam- they both need someone- too hot to be alone for long stretches- but it is not out of the question and I think they really loved each other before. Just saying…..

I find it funny how everyone likes to bring up Sam’s crimes yet oh how quickly you forget that Jason is a contract killer! It baffles me how some of you feel Sam is no good for him because she watched his son get abducted and hired a couple thugs to pull a gun on Elizabeth and the kids. Let’s not forget how this woman just found out she can’t have children, lost a child of her own and found out that her boyfriend fathered a child with another woman…how would you feel??
Anyway, Jason has killed people, threatned people..HELLO!!! His hands are not clean either. So the way I see it Jason is not the hypocrite…those of you who feel that Sam is unworthy of him are! Congratulations U are a hypocrite!

Are you kidding me?? This GH fan is exstatic that Jason and Sam are getting back together!! They should not have been split up in the first place!! People kill me when they say that Jason would never forgive. People change in REAL LIFE..so FICTIONAL CHARACTERS can change too. This just tells me how much he LOVES/LOVED Sam. Sam is perfect for Jason, she will not get in either Sonny or Carly’s way when they need to use Jason. Right now Super Jase is busy cleaning up after Sonny and Carly’s Kids.

I agree with poster #187, MOST of the people who hate the storyline are liason fans (note, I said most, not all), big freaking deal, we had to deal with the terrible breakup of a great couple, ruining of sam’s character (even though I still loved her no matter what) and then Jason having a baby with the other woman..are u freaking kidding me??? I sat through all that nonsense, so I’m gonna enjoy this reunion as much as possible and couldn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else says.
Whoever says that jason and sam are soulmates has never seen the chemistry between jason and liz. General hospital ratings are going down because of what’s going on between jason and sam. Jason and Liz belong together for always.

jason is the one who pushed sam away on several occasions, she just took a bullet for him and he pused her away and then when she begged him to take her back he stepped on her heart again adn again adn again. its ridiculous. then he lied about liz’s baby, and he lied to sam the one person he is suppossed to trust with everything and its his fault sam has kept so many other secrets for him she has done everyhting for him and he couldnt tell her. she woulda kept his secret adn she woulda helped him out, she woulda cared for him when he missed jake and what not. then jason had to fall in love with liz. lets not forget when jason believed they snake of a red head when she said all those bad things about sam, he knew sam had a past and he accepted it and he shoulda have nver believed her over sam he is supppossed to love SAM. yea sam made some mistakes too but jsaon was her everything and he took everyhting from her she had nothing to lose. and the way he acted toward sam after when he threatened her life that was ridiculous. he said that he would always love sam and he never loved anyone so much and he said he woulda never stop WELL HE LIED… and then he said he never wanted he to be scared of him…
after all that i see that it took alot to break up JASAM it wasnt just a cheating thing, their love was too strong.
ANdyhoo my point is i stopped watching Gh when jason got with LIZ, I HATE LIZ he shoudla stay with lucky she just make jason feel bad for what he does, why would he want her, SAM is beautiful smart independent adventurous HOT and amazing.

Thats because you don’t know Jason’s character he doesn’t forgive people he don’t trust, like for instants Rick, Claudia and Jerry. It was a matter of time that they would get back together and I’m glad that they did! Jason and Sam were the couple who started me off watching the show and after they had Jason with Elizabeth that destroyed General Hospital, Sam should have been the one with Jason’s baby!

I for one am totally loving Jason and Sam’s reunion! The way that it’s being written, the way the writers are making Jason persue Sam and not the other way around. Iam loving this Jason Morgan that we are seeing on the screen now, he is so gentle and caring even more when he is with Sam.
I also have to give props to the writers for the fantastic shirtless scenes and love scenes. The best love scene so far has been the Sept 29th one after Maxie and Spinelli’s un-wedding. It was so beautiful and intimate and i felt like i was intruding on such a special private moment between 2 people who are so much in love!!!

I have been waiting almost two years for this day. Jasam belong together. Yes Sam did awful things but lets not forget about jason sleeping with elizabeth and then hiding her pregnancy and sneaking around to check on liz behind sam’s back. Neither are innocent. The love they have is so amazing. Sam is the only girl who can deal with his lifestyle, she is right there with her own guns a blazing. She redeemed herself by savin jake not once but twice and if liz can forgive and make peace then so can jason. The ratings will go up I am already so excited that i can’t wait to get home to the DVR, and can’t wait to see what happens next. Jasam belong together. Liz isn’t even close to his type, and i wish there were a dna mix up so that the kid somehow was in fact lucky’s, so the baby thing with her would be squashed. all you haters will change your mind when the romance unfolds between them

I stopped watching GH when jason and sam broke up and it was jason and liz (least intereasting couple ever!). i started watching it again this summer all because of the jasam reunion!!!! Jasam forever
im so excited about jasam! the reason i continually watch the show. since im never home during the time the show air, i go on youtube and only look up jasam scenes, then i catch up on sundays. anywho the point is JASAM IS AMAZING.

I think Sam & Jason are good together They both take risks Sam knows Jasons line of work & is always there for him no questions asked They both work together well & seem to know what each other is thinking & doing . As for Elizebeth she was Jasons first love & he forgave her when she lied about Jake. Didn’t he forgive Carly after Michael was born & Carly made it with Sonny & he let Sonny be Michaels father after he took care of Michael when Carly had post pardom depression. He became friends again Robin came back to port charles & he also helped her when she had her post pardom depression. I think you fans should re think your thoughts about Jason & see he can forgive & her does have a funny side which GH doesn’t always have him show. He shows his warm loving side when he is with Monica & when he was with Emily & sometimes with Edward. As far as GH I think it is about time the mob wars & killings are over & done more drama to GH hospital more fun & Karoke at Jakes I’d love to see Jason & Sonny Carly & Jax Johnny & Olivera also do Karoke if there was more love fun & hospital drama at the hospital like night shift the ratings probly would go up more people would watch
I am excited for Jason and Sam getting back together. Kelly and Steve have great chemistry together. It’s a soap opera, so, of course plots get outta control . . . and I am over liason v. jasam. I really like Liz’s character and hope they find a good s/l for her. Rebecca, Kelly, and Steve are all awesome.
