It's difficult to sort out which - if any - legacy characters may be returning to General Hospital in the near future. There has never been so much buzz about so many!
To date, the following characters have been said to be possibly making a reappearance:
- Lorenzo Alcazar;
- Scott Baldwin and his daughter, Serena;
- Holly Sutton;
- Stavros Cassadine.
The oldest rumors concern Alcazar, Scott, and Serena, and these started because Ted King and Kin Shriner were seen visiting the set of GH. I wouldn't necessarily have come to that conclusion - if that's all it takes, maybe the UPS guy is coming on the show. Personally, I'd love to see King and Shriner back.
Since Holly was just on the show, and she's now Ethan's mother, she could, of course, show up again.
Now to Stavros. He's been killed twice, which means nothing. The last time we saw Stavros, he was a human popsicle brought back to life by Helena. While in Port Charles, he stalked Laura, killed Chloe Morgan (a Quartermaine relative involved with Jax), and tried to kill Lucky and Luke.
It's always fun having the evil Cassadines around. While they're at it, let's bring back Laura, Robert Scorpio, Anna, Noah,Lucy, and a few more of the old gang. The more the merrier.

no matter how many characters from the past you bring in, this show will still be mob focused. Look at what happened to the murder case storyline, it never took off, since the writers are more interested in showing sonny and his family. There are no more hospital scenes and every storyline leads to the mob. General hospital will not take chances with storylines like nicholas and elizabeth, instead it reverts back to the emily lookalike with nicholas. I never liked emily with nicholas, they were boring and rebecca and nicholas are boring! Why do they think the audience wants to see nicholas with rebecca is beyond me! But once again, no matter who comes in, the show is still mob infested. It is way too late to make this show better. There is no diversity and they may hire a black character but they eventually stop writing for them (case in point the beautiful Lanie!) What is wrong with The writers and producers of this show? Do they hate people who do not look like them?!
I am excited for some more characters to come back. but i agree nik and rebecca as boring as paint drying.
Yes…please, please bring back Laura and the other characters you named…I do think, with good writing, they could help GH rise in the ratings…

I would love to see anyone from the Cassidine family return. As far as Holly..I didn’t like her before,she’s a waste of time. Alcazar,Scotty, and definately Laura,I would love to see them return. Rebecca needs to leave,Emily should’ve been left alone. Nicolas/Elizabeth…pathetic. Jason/Sam…hope they get back together.Too much mob storyline,Sonny,Michael, Christina need to disappear.Luke needs to go away too,as well as Ethan.The older characters return,I’ll start enjoying this soap again.
i really really really want Brenda to come back. Looks like Las Vegas isnt coming back on, so she outta be free to come back. that would really stir some stuff up with sonny/claudia/olivia and carly/jack if she came back
I had a thought when I read that Connie Towers might be allowed to have a line or two when she comes back again. Suppose that Helena turned out to be the unknown mother of the mayor’s wife! I would like for Martha Byrne to have a part in this mess for a longer time. Doesn’t her cool determination make you think of Helena?
The old characters were the best. Nothing would help this show more than bringing back Genie Francis. Luke should be with Laura, and nothing will be right until she is. I have watched this show since day one. Quit. If not for Genie coming on, even for a short while, I still would not be watching. Luke, I love ya, but, you need Laura.
I tired of Elizabeth jumping from bed to bed. Is that all she’s good for. Leave Nikolas alone….he does better by himself.
