Laura Wright has announced that she has signed to do four more years of that feisty, sexy character that she has made her own, Carly Corinthos Jacks.
Wright has been discovering the joys of Twitter; regarding her news, she added to her tweet, "You guys are stuck with me". Viewers will be very happy to read that.

No offense to the original Carly and Tamara Braun….but Laura Wright is the best Carly yet. She is an amazing actress. Glad to hear she is staying on!

Laura is the best and only Carly. I just wish she was like before- strong and confident, I don’t like Carly so sad all the time.
I was hoping that Tamara Braun would come back as Carly. She was the best Carly! Also, that storyline involving Claudia’s death was cruel. I hope fans will see what monsters Jason, Sam and Sonny are. General Hospital should be ashamed of itself for killing Claudia off in such a brutal way and dumping her like trash! This storyline made me sad and sickened me! I never liked Claudia, but no one deserves to be treated like that! They should have just let her die in the car crash or simply vanish!
I totally agree with you Ron with how they got rid of Claudia.
I also would like to see Carly strong again.
so right about claudia, that episode left me with such a odd feeling..it took me quite some time to get used to laura…but i love her..hate hate hate the new lucky….way too wimpy….nothing masculine about him….yuck !!!!
Laura is the best Carly and I’ve been watching the show for 40 years. Oh, what a scary thought that is. Anyway, Claudia had a fitting end to a horrible person who was horrible even at the end. A mob daughter usually dies brutally and she paid for hits on many people and tried very hard to ruin alot of lives because misery loves company.
I do not know why Sam was included in what was done to Claudia and Micheal was left out! In fact, Sam did say to Jason several times that they had enough proof to go to the police. She was not there when Micheal did what he did. It is on Sonny and Carly about allowing this to be covered up and not having Micheal face it. It is going to create more psychological problems for him. Love LW as Carly!
The “new” Lucky is the original Lucky. Please~~~ I miss Greg but he is already on a new primetime show I wish him well. What I am happy about is LW’s role as Carly. She is great! Quite happy she is staying but not happy with the new story twist of Carly throwing Jax out. Cold hearted much? I don’t like how they disposed of Claudia. Not her fault that writers messed up her role so badly that they gave her such a crappy ending. Also now we will be subjected to Sonny, Jason, and same being grilled endlessly with the same dialoge over and over and over. I wish Claudia’s body would have been gone when Jason and the guys came back. Maybe someone could have found Claudia and disappeared with her. And could they being more annoying about these hints of the “Watcher person\?” I love the music they plaly but enough already. Why wouldn’t Sonny and Jason have enough brains to use credit cards to make it look like Claudia ran away. Or that they would find her cards used to run away and no one would know who used them. Darn fans have better ideas than we get on the show. Did love Michael being a little Sonny and sending the gangsters after his sisters boyfriend for a “lesson”. The grown ups are going to have their hands full with him.
Forgot, Ron I’m with you about how they got rid of Claudia. But don’t you think the gangsters were idiots this time? Burning the cabin down? Over kill? When they could have gotten Michael cleared with a self defense. Uggggggh
I have been a long time viewer of GH, since I before my preteens… When the charactor of Carly came up, I loved Sarah Brown, she played the part like no other Actress had. Then Tamera Braun came on, and she was ok, but really didn’t cut the mustard, and then you had that incredible, short turn Carly who had come and cone during the time Carly was in the mental hospital, and she was not even worth remembering… But I never thought that someone would be able to give Sarah Brown a run for her money and really add to the charactor. So it was so odd and strange for me to have Sarah Brown return to the canvas as a different charactor for Claudia, which really reminded me a lot of the when the charactor of Carly first hit the canvas. Then the two actress hit the screen together, with such similar names, it was all very interesting to watch, as I have never really seen anything like this done before, but after all is said and done, I am glad that Laura Wright is our Carly now !
LW is one Good actress, But the writers wrote her in a corner with the covering of Michael s/l, she Carly as a mother is Wrong, let Michael pay for the killing hey it was self defense, why make him the new Sonny, GH is losing every day the mob continues to run PC. yes Jax was wrong But for the right reasons, the biggest hypocrite is Olivia, she has become a screen hog, and she is boring, would love Carly to go to Kate and say “I wrong, to blame you” remember Kate wanted to show Sonny the proof, and the Saint Olivia destroyed the evidence, Now I would lovr for the talented Dante to find out Sonny is not his father But police man Picole is. I think LW & MW torn up the screen with their love & hate relationship, was hoping for that. All that aside Carly need’s to see both sides and quit giving Sonny a pass, I for one am sooooo sick of the killing, and sicker now that they had made Michael a cold hearted killer, something no mother wants….
I love Carly, I think all 3 Carly’s have been great and usualy I don’t like when the character changes but i must say GH did a great job with all the Carly’s – i do think i like this one the best though- I also think the way Claudia was killed was cruel – l love Jason & Sonny and i know it’s their characters to be the mob but i do think this was a little to far over- but i am still going to continue watching GH cause the writers are great -
So glad that Laura is staying on GH. I just love this Carly. So fashionable, where did she get that stunning sweater she was wearing November 16, 2009? Hope that she gets that fiestiness back too.
I think that laura is THE BEST Carly! I have been watching GH for over 20 years! I think that LW is an astonishing actress. She really draws you into the storyline and you forget that you are watching a tv program. She is the best!!!
