The Fight Club
Olivia walks into Jake's while Matt and Johnny are still fighting. Matt nearly hits Olivia when he throws an object at Johnny's back. Olivia keeps Johnny from going after Matt again.
Maxie cares for Spinelli with a cold rag and suggests that she drive him home. He wants to thank Johnny, though, before he leaves. Boy, everyone is there tonight. Diane meanwhile is taking notes on a cocktail napkin about Matt's unstable behavior. Alexis is surprised and asks Diane if she would really use any of it in a malpractice case. The answer is, definitely.
Patrick and Robin show up, and Patrick pulls his brother away. Matt doesn't want his help. Patrick takes the blame. Robin and Patrick get Matt out of Jake's and get him home. Later, Diane visits them and announces that Patrick is being named as a party in the malpractice suit.
At the offices of McCall & Jackal, PIs
Jason drags the cop's body out, and then Jason confides in Sam that he's concerned about Michael. He knows that rage. He's afraid that Michael will hit a cop and land in jail, or pick a fight with someone stronger than he is and get beaten to a pulp. On top of that, he fears that Michael will drive everyone away who has his best interests at heart. He informs Sam that her little sister is major trouble, smoking weed and driving without a license. Sam promises Jason that she'll see to Kristina.
Spinelli and Maxie arrive back at the office. Jason and Sam are shocked by Spinelli's face. Jason demands to know what happened and who did it. After Maxie and Spinelli explain the circumstances, Sam tells them that the mayor's wife hired her to follow Brianna. We're supposing that at some point, Sam lost her because she didn't know Brianna was dead until Maxie and Spinelli told her. Spinelli also says that he's sure Brianna was murdered.
At Sonny's, Carly orders Claudia to stay out of hers and Sonny's discussion with Michael. Michael can't believe how Claudia turned on him. Michael wants choices, but Sonny believes that Michael belongs with Jax, Carly, and Morgan. He swears to Michael that he will get his life back; he will have choices. For now, he needs to go with Carly. Michael reluctantly leaves with Carly, and when they get home, Jax is playing host to Kristina. Michael and Kristina go off alone. Kristina needs Michael to intercede with Jason before he tells Alexis about the joint. Downstairs, Jax is concerned that Michael can't control his rages. Carly isn't worried. When it's time for bed, Michael gives Carly a dutiful kiss as Carly fights tears. She won't let Michael get to her, she promises, as Michael eavesdrops.
Oh joy, Ric walks into Sonny's. Apparently there are some members of the Zacchara organization who want to form another group away from Sonny. That ino out of the way, Sonny lets Ric know that he realizes Claudia's baby may be his. Ric nods and warns Sonny that if the baby is his, Sonny's not raising it. Sonny counters by telling Ric that if the baby is Ric's, it's up to him and Claudia to figure out what to do. Until then, Claudia's living at his place. Claudia points out that one of the conditions of her staying is that Ric doesn't come around. Ric splits, after which Claudia tells off Sonny. She doesn't care who the father is, all she cares about is herself and the baby. She will do what's best for the baby, meaning no stress. She's sick of him being one minute and "well, if I don't like the results of the amnio..." the next.
At the Haunted Star, Nikolas confirms that yes, he has been avoiding Rebecca. Sleeping with his dead wife's twin, now that he thinks about it, freaks him out. She asks Nikolas how he feels about her. He does care, he says. Ethan, who has his own agenda, says that it's strange that he's sleeping with his wife's twin. Rebecca steals a glance at Ethan, unsure, obviously, of what's happening. She's supposed to be getting close to Nikolas, not convincing him that it's a bad idea to be with her. Furious with Ethan, Rebecca declares the card game over. Ethan thinks the situation is crazy, but if Nikolas wants to fill the void left by Emily, go right ahead. Nikolas thanks Ethan for his outside observer (ha!) opinion and takes off. That's when Rebecca loses it, demanding to know what possessed Ethan to say those things. Ethan's response is a kiss.
